Who is Jeff Sentell . . . .
I happened to switch over and watch "The Zone" last night w/Mike Raita and Ray Melick and Jeff Sentell was filling in for the other guy, I can't remember who it is he was filling in for and I didn't catch the first of it so I don't know who Jeff Sentell is but he must be a sportswriter apparently.

I'll make these predictions, and I'm not hesitant at all.

Greg McElroy will be second team All-Sec QB, and only because God decided to return to the Swamp.

Mark Ingram will be first team All-SEC and rush for 1,000 yards.

Julio will catch 90 passes and make first team All-American.

We'll beat Ole Miss by three touchdowns in Oxford. The largest crowd in their history will be totally let down. That will thrill me to death because I have to work out with those arrogant moron fans every morning and they truly think they are the best football program in the SEC. The referee's have cost them every game they've lost since 1959.

We'll beat Va. Tech but it will be a nail biter. Our confidence level will not be high going into that game, and theirs will be. That will be our third toughest game of the year.

Auburn will be the toughest. Count on it.

LSU in Tuscaloosa will be a close second.

It would be unrealistic to expect us to go undefeated, but I say we will, at least in the regular season.

Then we'll enter the playoffs....against Florida.

I can't see Saban losing to the same coach in consecutive years.

We're going to play for the national title next year against either Texas, Oklahoma, or Ohio State.

For those who answered zero, we've already lost the sugar bowl which was played in 2009.
Smart aleck! ;)

As for me, realistically, I see us dropping one maybe two games. I'm interested (read "scared half to death") to see how our rebuilt OL comes together, and how quickly that happens. IMO, that will be the key to the season.

:BigA: The "so called experts" must not think Bama is going to lose too many or they would not be listing us at 5 or 6. Of course these brilliant people had the Tide at 25 last year. I never think Bama will lose.

From things I've read, we seem to be picked to come out third in the SEC West behind LSU and Ole Miss. I don't think that's too crazy of an assumption at this point. Breaking in a QB in the SEC is tough and if history is any indication, Saban's teams don't fair too well with suspect QB play. Defense can only hold for so long if the O isn't scoring.

For those thinking that we'll go undefeated next year, don't get ahead of yourselves. Yes we had a good year last year but that was last year. Afterall, Saban only had two seasons of ten wins or more at LSU. I'd hate to see any of our fans jumping from bridges when they realize we aren't gonna win all of our games next season.

That being said, I think we drop 3 to 4 games next year. Realistically there will be a let down after an undefeated regular season. Va Tech is a likely loss, they'll be strong next year. LSU is another likely loss and either UT or Ole Miss. I don't see us losing to Auburn. They have a ways to go.

Thats a question better asked of the barn. Being winners, Bama fans speak of who we are gonna beat.

Exactly. I thought this thread was being asked by a Barner. I wonder if Coach Saban is going to ask his players this question when Spring practice starts. I dare a reporter to ask Coach this question.

I agree with Tommy, the OL once again will be the key to our season. Also with the loss of Coffee and Upchurch a question mark we appear to be thin at RB. Not knowing anymore right now we could lose 3 games next year and still be a better team than last year.
IMHO, the OL is the key to EVERY season. Give a QB all the time in the world, and he'll look like Joe Montana. Conversely, even Joe Montana could complete few passes if he was having to throw while lying on his back. Similarly, give a RB holes big enough for him to drive his booster provided Escalade through and he'll look like Emmett Smith. Conversely, Emmett himself could not run through a wall.

The concern is that D1 college game runs a lot faster than high school. An inexperienced QB needs a bit of extra time to size up the situation and make the correct call. And it is unlikely that a green OL will be able to give him the extra time that he needs. That said, this may not really apply to the Tide. After all, this year's OL was supposed to be a weak spot. And we all know how that turned out.

My mind tell me we will lose a couple because of experience on the OL and QB but last year when we had a similiar question posed on the forum, one of the poster said I ALWAYS think we will win them all until we drop one....well, I like that attitude....ok, I am adopting it:biggrin:

All you doubters out there need to go knock on wood. I will not have you jixing our team.

So what you're saying is, out of the three probable top 25 teams on our schedule, we will drop all three (only two if God is with us)??? I don't buy it, not until we lose a game. I have faith that our team can actually defeat comparable talent.

14-0, defeat the fighting tebows, beat texas in NC. Bring it on, Baby!!

Arenas runs the opening kickoff to the Va Tech 40. McElroy hits his first touchdown pass of the season to Maze on the very next play and its like Saban is driving a STEAM-ROLLER all the way to the National Championship. So I guess my answer is none :)

Ditto. I know the Defense will be a monster and help the Offense. If the Offense matures as quickly as last years team this could be a special year (2009) for the Crimson Tide and its Fans.

I think that we come out in Atlanta like a bull with his 'nads afire and hang about 30 on VT. Tide 30-9

Should that truly happen, everybody grab hold and hang on it could be better than last year.
LMAO:pDT_jok: that's the post of the year so far (I tried to hang on for 8sec.):pDT_crazy:! I hope your right if the Tide comes out the gate like this it will be another great season. I just hope the post season has better results!:pDT_nunu:
