It's AJ's buddy, AJ, the kid in the great locker room photo who our QB arranged to have a job as a student volunteer. Had to be a major distraction, which means we can add him to our list of fall guys.

So now the criticism leaks over onto Norwood, Cooper et al on how they responded to broken plays? Who's next on the firing line: AJ II? Nice kid and sweet story, but facts are facts: We lost two games after he was allowed in the locker-room. Clearly, he should be classified as clutter. Someone has to answer for this sacrilege of an 11-2 season.
He's been on the team for two years, not two games.

i hope most of this post needed blue text.
I never singled out any specific receivers. The topic is how we think the assistant coaches have done. I simply gave my opinion of how Napier could improve. Chill out CrimsonEyeshade.:cool2:

If, and I stress, IF, Saban has truly rededicated himself to coaching here at Alabama, then God help every other team in College Football. I personally don't care if we go 9-4 next year as long as we get back to dominating on bothsides of the ball and a formidable running game. It's still the way to win. We'll get better at disciplined, assignment defense. I can't WAIT to put a 2008 Clemson on EVERY opponent next year! There'll be a "Come To Jesus" Spring Practice for sure.

Gonna be fun:)

Will do, Glass, but I do believe we're searching under some pretty small rocks for something to criticize.

This has me hopeful that the small tweaks needed are coming. Coach seems ready to put this season behind the time and start over.

Our new coaches did a good job. We can't start having turnover every year we lose 1-2 games...or even 3-4. Turnover in staff always takes time to right itself. We need to quit nit picking. smh

When Saban noted starting over I didn't really think it related to the staff. Perhaps he will dictate a slightly different direction for one or two of them i.e. (be more physical), (more speed) etc...

I think The last two seasons have been too much about not messing up. To be the best you can be you have to take chances, ruffle feathers, .... people off, push players farther than they want to go. Don't be surprised to see some defections in the next 6 months, but don't worry about it. We didn't lose this year because of talent. We could lose a number of players and still have more talent than the 2009 squad that went undefeated. We do have to get back to dominating people on the line and we have to get back to covering people with our corners. Fix those two areas and it's a whole new ballgame for 2014

we had to be reasonable and expect the OL wouldn't be as good as last year. You don't lose two top 12 picks off the OLINE and perhaps the most versatile 4 year starter the school has ever had and not suffer some. that said, I was very unhappy with the number of mental mistakes made like the false starts and assignment issues. That is all on the coaching. If we don't have the false starts against AU we probably win that game, and it hurt us all year, in every game. just most of the time we got over it.

WR - I think was about the same. production was good. I think more explosive plays, but maybe a few more dropped balls than prior years.

DC - pruitt's good. could he have helped some this year, maybe so. We never saw a lot of what he did or didn't do since Saban and Smart were all over his areas also.

I know that Coach Saban does also, but does Greg Brown have any coaching responsibilities with our secondary? Our play in that area was downright atrocious at times this year.
