I was just curious how far people would go into their bank accounts to see this game in person. This game is a scalpers dream.Ive spent well over face value on football tickets in the past but the prices ive seen for this game are insane.

Slick Rick says, Slick Rick expects these tickets to be expensive. Slick Rick says scalpers will be selling them for probably $150-$300. Slick Rick is just glad that I already have a ticket in the lower level.

I'm glad I've got tix. If I didn't have them, I'd likely pay whatever it took--up to about $700 or so. Beyond that, I guess it would depend on how well lubricated I was.

Perhaps a better way to look at this is "How much would it take for one to part with their ticket. I'm not sure I'd part with mine for anything. I'm sure I wouldn't part with it for any price that I've heard them going for. On the other hand, if someone offered me enough to pay my entire next season's TidePride payment (approximately $1200) and purchase my three season tix (approximately another $1200), I might consider parting with one ticket--but don't bank on it.

Probably around $300/pr. Guess I'd be watching from home, which I usually do anyway, being that I live out of state and prefer the television coverage anyway (as long as it's not ESPN - I've heard about enough about local tailgating recipes, US women soccer players, uniform colors and the like. Geez - there's a game on! They also seem surprisingly ignorant about football, sometimes. Saw some college fb commentary last week where the dude was saying that the two minute warning would stop the clock. Doesn't ESPN cover SPORTS?!).

Sorry. </rant>

i got offered a student ticket for the LSU game for 175 plus conversion of about 50 before the UT game. I declined thinking i would find a cheaper one for the LSU game somewhere, looking back i should have takin it. im sure the price has sky rocketed now.

on the other hand i did manage to find a UT ticket that was 150 which was alot cheaper than i thought i would have to pay for one

Too bad that probably will not help the students out any. At least I won't be a freshman next year so I might be able to get full season tickets.
Since expansions/renovations normally begin immediately following the end of a season, and it doesn't appear to be happening the end of the 2007 season, it's logical to assume that it won't begin before December 2008--meaning it probably won't be completed until the 2010 season at the earliest. Therefore, you are right so far as most current students are concerned. On the other hand, as it stands, students get a set percentage of the seats in the stadium. That percentage will remain the same after any expansion. I'm not certain of what that percentage is, but for the sake of argument (and ease of calculations) let's go with 10%. So, assuming 10% and an addition of 10,000 seats, 1000 of those new seats would be additional student seats.

If you know of someone unloading tickets for $150 please tell me where this man is, I will buy out his entire stock. ;) Tickets for this game are going for much more than that. You will be lucky to find anything for less than $300, per ticket that is. And that is if you want the worst seats in the stadium. I already have my ticket from Tide Pride. But if I needed a ticket, what would I pay? How about a quart of blood and my first born. Actually I don't have any children, but that would be about right. ;)

I've been offered $300 for each of my ticktets, if they go to $500-SOLD. I'll just go to the game and get in at half time.
