Seeing it all kind of makes me miss emergency management. While the long term recovery could be tedious, the lead up and the initial response was enjoyable - in an adrenaline helping people kind of way. Even if it took a lot out of you.

Wasn't a good career for someone with a young family for the time demands no possible flexibility.

I miss living in Florida.....except at times like this. If I live to be a thousand years old, I'll never forget the ordeal that was Ivan. While I'm not really the praying type, I do wish for the very best for everyone caught in the path of this thing. This looks brutal.

Has anyone heard from Bazza? I don't know exactly where he lives, but if memory serves it's on the east coast and possibly in the path of the storm.

believe he is in New Smyrna beach which is East Coast near Daytona

He lives where my stepson lives - New Smyrna Beach. They had a lot of rain. In fact, my stepson sent me a pic with a comment that, if it got any higher, it'd be in his living room...

Looks like it moved west of NSB, which means they had much weaker winds. I've checked in with a bunch of folks from across CF and largely been the same story - lotsa wind, heavy rains, scattered flooding.

It’s gif wrenching seeing all the footage out there.
My heart hurts for those folks. We spent several weeks in Ft Myers for baseball tournaments the last couple years and it’s almost unrecognizable.
My family and closest friends were so blessed during Hurricane Michael
