I love this kid.
I love the approach. That's one thing that always annoyed me about "silent commits" or guys that waited until signing day to announce. Don't we want our kids out there trying to get their friends to come to? Don't we want them as vocal as possible? It seemed to me that Tebow going to Florida last year started a stream of players and set them up for the championship. Alabama got the guy they really needed, but they had to wait until signing day. Whose mind was that going to change, you know?

In either case, you have to love it when a kid is out there doing what he can to make his team better.

They're saying on Tigerforums that Davis may not even qualify. Scratch that, they're laughing their butts off.....
Let 'em laugh. It only sounds like sour grapes, to me. Or, could it be nervous laughter? At any rate, they wanted him, they recruited him, and they got him to commit to them...........then they lost him to us! If it didn't bother them, they wouldn't be talking about it so much. ;) :)

Besides, I hope they don't laugh all their butts off..............I want them to have some left for us to kick the crap out of! ;)

From what's been posted on this board, LD should have no trouble qualifying. He looks good to go.

Maybe LD is going after some of the La. Tech. prospects for Bama. :biggrin2:

LSU is on top of LD's current situation... :rolleye2:

LSU's... The Advocate: Luther Davis report
Still making the rounds

A day after committing to Alabama, West Monroe defensive lineman Luther Davis was one of eight prospects making official visits to Louisiana Tech this weekend. According to West Monroe football coach Don Shows, Davis, a 6-foot-4, 260-pounder, lacks both the necessary ACT score and core grades to be academically eligible to play as a freshman.

I don't know anything about this kids grades OR ACT, but I do know where scout, rivals, and any other recruiting service gets their info...from the recruit. I seriously doubt Coach Shows would be lying.

I would not hold out hope on L. Davis, his mind changes as often as his underwear. From what I hear, he doesn't want to be too far away from mamma, thus La Tech enters the picture.

When the adversary enters our domain to try to spread doubt in our minds.....it is a good thing. It is a sign that the adversary has their own doubts and worries.

Seriously folks, I hope no one from our site is wasting time on other schools chat boards. How pathetic.

There are several, including some of your mods. Tigerforums and Tidefans are the two best forums I've found so far. They are welcomed on Tigerforums.com.

I waste a little time on tigerforums as a paying (Contributor) member. Someone has to keep them straight ;)

Just like with LSU, probably much local pressure to give hometown (LA Tech) a look. However, yesterday LD was talking about playing for NC...is a big swing from there to touring Rustin.
