I need one High School Score...

I did not see it in the 9/21 scores... Pickens County vs. Gordo... I miss that game... I remember having to lineup against a former Tider, Wayne Davis, my senior season... He cleaned my plow every time the ball moved... Anyone know what the score was??

Gordo won the game 26-7. The game was not quite the blow out that the score indicates, though. The score was 13-7 late in the third quarter if I remember correctly and Gordo scored its final touchdown with 12 seconds left in the game. As you may guess, it was an emotionally charged game and there were lots of penalties. The newspaper said 15 total penalties for 180+ yards. Personally, I think that the paper missed some. It looked like Pickens County didn't have an answer for Gordo's team speed. That combined with a couple of key turnovers (one fumble returned for a touchdown) pretty much did Pickens County in.
