Question: If you had to choose, beat AU or beat UF?

If we lose to the barn you can kiss any possibility of BAMA playing for the MNC. They're already looking for any excuse to knock us back down so I say KILL the KITTY !!!!!

To me the only thing that matters is winning the National Championship. Therefore since if we lose to either team we are probably out of the MNC game, I want to whip MOOOOO U way more. Yeah, i want to beat florida but i cannot work up the hate for them that i do the barnyard. I say whip the BARN and take our chances. ROLL TIDE.

Have to agree 100% to this logic. If the question is simply, if you lose to one or the two, who will it be? Has to be Florida. A loss to either = no Nat'l Championship. We're in the fortunate situation of having not lost yet, but that means that its too late to come back from a loss, like Florida (or Oklahoma, Texas, etc.). So beat Auburn, take our chance against Florida.

I realize the question is hypothetical, and I realize the implications of a lose to either team. Probably not a NC in either scenario.

A lot of the posts saying they would rather lose the Auburn game are from out of state. I live "slightly" out of state, but close enough to have to listen to them barnies. I can almost hear it now; "you bammers won the SEC but you still can't beat us". Then stick another finger in face. God, I just don't think I could take it. They are so obnoxious.

Let's just take care of business, beat the cow crap out of the barn, and then beat them gators. why can't we have it all??

If you had to pick between beating the Barners and the Gators, who would you pick and why? Or could you pick?

Beat Auburn, lose in 3OT to Florida - and then point out to Oklahoma that our loss was more impressive and closer than anyone else's - so we should get a rematch in the BCS title game using Stoops' 'head to head doesn't matter' logic.

Beat Auburn. We must beat both to be in the BCS Championship Game. Losing to Auburn would be the worse case scenario.

If I could be guaranteed of a win over Florida, I'd say Florida and lose to the Barn.

I don't think we'd play for a BCS title if we lose to Auburn, but I'd be more than happy with a SEC title and delay the Barnyard whipping to next year.

auburn. Its the next game. If we want the BCS trophy we need to win the next three. I'm shocked that anyone wants auby to claim they ruined our chance at the trophy. If we loose to them beating UF will not put us in the BCS championship game.
I can wait for another chance at the BCS. We have the SEC game locked up, so the streak should be the most important thing to our seniors.

And by the way...

I'd prefer to beat the Gators. There's a possibility that with a quality win over UF, we might still sneak into the BCS Championship game.

AU is on a downward spiral, regardless of whether we beat them this year or not. As much as I want to see Tubby get the finger, a chance at a NC trumps it anyday.
Ditto (championships over beating any particular opponent)

Beat Auburn. All of you that said Florida must not know any Barn fans.
LOL...well...I'm an Alabama native (my ancestors sprang from the dirt of northwest Alabama an hour outside Tuscaloosa), I'm an Alabama alumnus, I live in Alabama (so I know and work with lots of Barners), and I have a few black sheep relatives who are Barners...and by the way, I said Florida. :)

... if i'm thinking from a players point of view, i would take a one loss season plus an SEC ring plus a long shot chance at an NC ring

... over a one loss season and no rings

... all you guys who can't bear the thought of losing another iron bowl sound like the chumps who sit on the hood of their car outside the local hangout and brag about that one game you won in high school

... i'd rather be the guy who drives by with my championship ring finger conveniently hanging out the car window :D

Assuming Fla, USC, OU and UT Win out were fifth in a field of two as far as the BCS is concerned with a loss to Auburn. Given this I'd take a win over Auburn. We go to the Sugar Bowl either way.

Bama has how many players who have never beaten the barn?

Oh, yeah... THE ENTIRE TEAM!

I'm betting they (and especially the seniors) want first and foremost to beat those clowns and then take their best shot at UF and the National title.
