I'm behind this team and will continue to be, but....

this season is virtually over. The deck is stacked against our team and we've gotta win on the road in order to do anything this year. Then, we've gotta do good in the SEC Tourney. The SEC is too tough. The best thing for us is just to start preparing for next year. Let's get some wins under our belt, make a little noise in the SEC Tourney. IF we can manage to win that, go on to the NCAA Tourney and lose in the first or second round and take it to the house until next year. It's had its up's and down's. Maybe next year we'll be better.

For more reasons than the one you're implying. If you can't see that this team is falling way short of expectations and way short of what the can do, you're an idiot. Plain and simple. They are playing well today and I'm as proud as I can be. Playing this good on the road is impressive. Again, I will be behind this team if they lose every game they play, just like the football team. But, even if we win the rest of our games and the SEC Tourney, we are not among the top in the nation, therefore, we'll get put out. No championship here.

Let me see if I get this straight. You think that we should just quit now because we don't stand a chance to win the tournament. What a joke. In case you didn't know, 65 teams are invited to the NCAA tourney, and guess what, only one can win. So according to your logic, not just us but every team who does not stand a chance to win should just quit now and not even try. Yeah, we wouldn't want any exciting Cinderella teams making it into the Sweet 16 or anything, because they don't stand a chance to win.

In my 34 years of being alive, and my 27+ years of remembering Bama Football and Basketball.........I can count the number of times on one hand where I felt the need to criticize my team....

1. Dubose inability to adjust at half time
2. David Hobbs (what a very poor coach he was)inability to call time outs before the other team had a 24-0 run on us
3. And screaming at the TV to James "Hollywood" Robinson that if "YOU SHOOT ONE MORE TIME, I'M GONNA GO OVER THERE AND SIT ON YOU"

and that's about it...

I'm not gonna tell you how to be a fan, but I can tell you how "not" to be a fan.... No matter how bleak things get, fans never give up, lose sight of the big picture, and never, NEVER get mad at kids for playing a game....

We looked very good today, gaining confidence, and I was very proud...but, I've been proud every game this year, win or lose. They play hard until the end, and we have some really awesome guys on this team, and they don't deserve the negative statements...

They are young men, playing a game....and I have no doubt that they are trying as hard as they can....ROLL TIDE FELLAS!!

Most of us are really proud of you!!

Amen CajunCrimson! I just don't like that attitude of the original poster. I know he's a fan and I can kinda see where he's coming from, but come on! Take a little time to celebrate...we just beat a team AWAY, which is a very high quality team. I like dat.

Well, yall can all have your opinions, but I really don't care what you think. I support the team and you can believe that or you can doubt it, I really don't care either way. I'm just as much a Bama fan as anyone out here, but I'm also realistic. If we were to go all the way and in the NC in basketball, then I'd have to eat my words. For anyone to think we have a legit chance at the NC right now is not using much logic. I'm very happy that we beat UT. I'll be happy if we win the rest of our games. It probably won't happen, but I'll be pulling for my team none the less. All of you with your little comments and this, that and the other need to open up your eyes and take of the crimson colored glasses for once in your lives. I don't want our team to just give up or lie down and let everyone beat them. However, there is little or no chance that the Tide basketball team will win the national championship this year like we thought at the beginning of the season. It's just not going to happen. We aren't the team that beat OU and Xavier anymore. We're somewhere in between that team and the same team that lost to Vandy. Again, I hope that we win the rest of our games and, by some miracle, win the NCAA Tourney. If we do, I'll be man enough to come on here and congratulate my team and each and every one of you who told me I was wrong. I'll be very happy to be wrong, but I don't think I am wrong.
