Interesting comparison of Sims and Winston...

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

It amazes me that no one in the media has been talking about Winston's regression. He's completely mediocre now. If he goes to the NFL after this year I honestly think he won't be drafted 'til the 3rd round at minimum and that's being generous.

His life choices may be catching up to him. There are a lot of distractions for him.

And here comes Vaugh (Winston). Vaughn(Winston) is a juvenile delinquent in the off season.

Perhaps one reason why no one calls for the benching of Sir Winston is that he has shown, repeatedly, that he can come from behind? Then, after all bets have been won, after the first half is over, he displays his true talent of being able to play some great football. Just saying...form your own opinions, but there was an article discussing some first half betting and his performance in relation to it. Not that I would believe any of it, after all, he is an outstanding citizen of the community.

Roll Tide!

Sims has surprised, I think, even his fans in our own fanbase with how well he has performed this year. I know he has a talented supporting class that includes AC, but Blake Sims deserves Heisman consideration, IMHO, if it truly stands for the best football player in the NCAA and if the character part is still important.

Character should definitely matter, and that would help Sims. If character did matter, however, Winston would not have won the Heisman last season. I don't think the Heisman voters care about character.

Yeah, but there's one stat where Sims isn't even in the ballpark: the Rap Sheet. Sims doesn't even own one, and Winston's is "world class" :rolleye2:

I think I am one of the few who thought Sims would probably be our QB this year, but it was more about how I think Saban likes loyal, hard working guys and not buying in to the Coker hype. It is rare when a QB can't get on the field at one place but suddenly becomes a star at a school of equal stature. I thought Blake had a very good shot to be our QB, but I never thought his passing numbers would be what they are. I expected him to run more zone-read stuff and mix in some play action passes. I never expected him to suddenly be a pocket passer. I am incredibly proud of him and very happy for him. He seems to be a great team player, and I love it when team guys who work hard get rewarded. I really hope he leads us to 14-1 record, an SEC title, and a national title.

A more important stat is that Sims has never been accused of rape, shoplifted or jumped on a table at the cafeteria and shouted profanity.

He really does. We are the #1 team and he's having a stellar season. It's pretty disappointing that this hasn't gotten more attention. With that said, I've got no problems with MM winning it - he's a good kid - and it's basically his to lose at this point.

Winston 2 for 2 rapes, 1 for 1 stolen crab legs, 1 for 1 stolen soda, 1 for obscene gesture in cafeteria for the season...Criminal rating 100%

Sims 0 for 0 rapes, 0 for 0 stolen crab legs, 0 for 0 stolen soda, 0 for 0 obscene gestures in cafeteria for the season...Criminal rating 0%

You are so right Cam hijacked the Heisman & all since have been solely ESPN's choice.
the stiff arm trophy means nothing anymore it's an ESPN Award.

You are way off. I would be surprised if he dropped out of the 1st round.
