Is anyone surprised Kramer did away with this? With Tenneessee involved in so many "big games" it wouldn't make sense for the best crews to be at that game. Why not have a set of "good ole boys" for the good guys and a set of "good ole boys" to carry out your agenda? Again my conspiracy side comes out, but given the circumstances of late I think it carries a little more weight. Ask Ron Zook if you don't think there might be something there. How can an official blow a call like that? The only excuse is he did it on purpose. Has anything ever happened to that official? to that crew? It's one thing to blow a call in the middle of the game that may come back later to haunt a team, but with less than five minutes to go in a game and to bonehead one like that spells one thing.......SABOTAGE!. How can you say you do a good job of rating your referees when blown calls happen week in and week out!

OK, I'm calm now.

ROYTIDE,

This has nothing to do with what you posted, but rather your signature. Rocky Colavito was BORN in 1933. He PLAYED from 1955 to 1968. I remember watching him play in the 50's and 60's, but I looked up his stats to make sure I was not mistaken.

They couldn't make more money flipping burgers if they were as incompetent at it as they are as football officials. Fast food joints have higher standards for their burger flippers than the SEC does for it's officials.

That burger-flipper line is the biggest bunch of crap I've ever read. Give me a break. They do this job PART-TIME for what, 5 months? They get to travel all over the South and watch SEC football games, from the field no less, every single Saturday during the football season. What football loving man wouldn't do that for nearly nothing?

That was Gaston's way of justifying the horrible officiating. It's obviously a defensive statement made to deflect attention away from the main subject and perhaps tug at our heart-strings. Well I, for one, won't fall for it.

If the old system was beloved by those who worked under it, and was opposed by such a large margin, why not go back?? Kramer obviously had an agenda when he came in to the SEC office. The first part was to become the first famous and rich football commissioner (mission accomplished) and the second was to bring Alabama down to the level of the rest of the SEC (see his comment noted by those at the officiating meeting discussed).

I would expect those in the SEC office now to try and bring back integrity and respect to the SEC Commissioner's office and to the SEC on the whole.
