Re: Iron Bowl Weather Forcast?

Saturday a 80% chance of rain mainly before noon with a high 60.

Saturday night a 40% chance of rain.

Do ya'll think that this will give the Barners a advantage?
It will make it real hard for them to catch up and they will have a lot of 3 and outs late in the game. The Tide will roll, and there will not be many clean uniforms on the sideline when time expires.

Wet, cool conditions tend to favor offensive teams. Receivers already know where they're going and the defender must react and could slip.

Also, cold, wet defenses get tired of tackling big, powerful backs.

This could be a long, cold, miserable afternoon for a thin AU defense.

I'm not sure I agree with that. I would say that cool, wet conditions favor teams that play a ground control type game and don't rely on the pass to move the ball. A wet ball his hard to throw and catch. If either team is forced to throw the ball there are going to be interceptions.

I agree that it's going to be a long day for Auburn though. We're going to line up and run it down their throats. They'll hold us in check for the first half but about mid-way through the 3rd quarter we'll be gashing them pretty good.

The only way the weather 'favors' moo u is for the game to be cancelled due to weather... :)

I dont think any kind of weather will help the barners. Rain, snow, sleet or hail they are going down. And the best thing about it----- THEY KNOW IT!!!
I dont even think Satan could help them tomorrow.

I heard that is was going to be mostly Crimson with a 100% chance of pain. In all seriousness, the conditions will be vastly different depending on the side of BDS you're on. The Home side is going to be calm and breezy with a negligible chance of worry, while the Visitor's side will have panic, desperation and a nearly 100% chance of total embarrassment.

According to weather.com, the rain is supposed to be out by 11:00am and just cloudy the rest of the day until 11:00pm where it is supposed to start raining again. If that holds true, by game time we will be okay. I hope that is true as I don't relish sitting in cold rain. I can but I'd rather not.

Not trying to plug a website, but accuweather.com is very reputable and just looking at the satellite view I don't see how we escape having rain during game time tomorrow.
