Is Bama fatigue the reason our kicker didn't win The Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award?

I mean he was PERFECT and the winner had misses.... Only thing I can come up with...
Will Reichard was clearly robbed...
He was perfect, the winner wasn't....
He scored more points than the winner...
He broke a Bama curse on kickers....

OK, rant over. Did they just not want Alabama players to win too many? I think that's the only reason....

Just like with the Ray Guy award, team mediocrity is rewarded. You've got to have so many punts and so many FGs to qualify or even if qualified, to be truly considered. So if you team is mediocre and has to punt or settle for FGs a lot, you've got a leg up. Pun intended.
Even still, I have no idea how JK Scott didn't win the Ray Guy in 2014.

The "Jeopardy answer" is:
The Loch Ness Monster
The Bermuda Triangle
The Dreaded Bama Fatigue

The question:
"What are 3 things people are convinced exist that have never actually existed?"

Or (if you're a Cheers fan):
What are 3 things that have never been in my kitchen?

One difference, that I think plays an unspoken role in the decision, is that the winner is a senior and the rest of the top kickers are underclassmen.
I would tend to agree with you to a very small extent. However, of the top 10 ranked punters, 7 were upperclassmen, yet a sophomore won it. Granted, he DID HAVE a 1 yard average advantage over the 2nd ranked punter, but he also played in two less games. I think there is more at play here....🤫 but in this case, it is not Bama fatigue.
