Thanks. I had noticed an announcement on my comcast email homepage. Guess I will now need to buy a bigger monitor! Do they come in 65"?;)
No need to buy a new monitor. If you have a laptop and an LCD or plasma flat panel, hook the laptop to your TV and push the signal out to the TV (same as a monitor).

personally, i will not buy the gameplan pkg this year. i am in tennessee, and with sec pkg, espn, espnu, foxsport south, and the sec channel, each team will only have one ppv game normally their homecoming game not on these other channels. directv will allow individual game purchase. i believe it is about 20.00 dollars, and that is cheaper than 109.00.

Purchased gameplan for the past two years, it is not worth it. I plan to listen on xm radio, avoiding horrible announcing.

I for one will still get it, there will be other games out there that need to be watched and that is what the Tivo is for. there is nothing like having 20+ games to choose between on any given Sat.
I will buy the 1 Bama pay per view weekend, but with all the new stuff, (i have all the espn stuff , the big computer screen, also have the cable packet that covers all espn and all the fox games , north , south, west and what ever, so i ve got the 20 plus games without game plan

ESPN gameplan... still worth it?

Question...
For people not living in the south... Im stuck in Michigan... is it still worth it to get gameplan? I have gotten gameplan for the past 2 years and have not missed a BAMA game. But with this new ESPN SEC deal, most, if not all BAMA games are supposed to be televised... correct? Im still not understanding how coverage will work for people not living in the south.

I decided to buy the package just to make sure I got every Bama game in Salt Lake. I'll probably experience some remorse when I find out that 9 games will be on CBS/ESPN/2 and I see a lot of Sun Belt and WAC games on the Game Plan channels, but it's only money, right?

I'm going to buy it too. I have Cablevision, they don't have espn 360 with my internet plan. At least I will be able to see at least 2 PPV games with the gameplan. I like watching the out of market games anyway.

I've bought the early bird package in the past but this year I'll go week to week and buy the individual Saturday only when we are on. If I buy 4 individual weeks it will still be less than the full season package.

I am glad this came up. We had a thread, maybe last year during the season, in which I expressed my disappointment with Charter for lying, and telling me there were no blackout restrictions with ESPN GP. Bought it so I could catch all PPV games without having to order individual games. Got to the season with friends over, and BLACKED OUT. If you live in AL and follow UA, from my experience GP is not worth the money. In Charter’s defense, after two written letters, they reversed the charges for GP, and I was able to order PPV like normal.
Along these same lines, for someone like me, who does not follow the SEC’s new media contracts/coverage, can someone give me a simple overview of what the changes are this year. (I do know that there were significant changes, but understand that we still maintained a remnant of the old SEC/CBS partnership). A basic rundown would be nice. And before people start flaming, I could have used the search option, but chose not to, because bits and pieces to the coverage packages change over time, but they should be pretty set in stone by now.
