Is James Willis staying?

Looks like a risky move to me but anyways he's a good coach and i wish him the best of luck. Other than Willis are there any other former aubie players wearing UA hardware on their finger?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jeremy Prewitt...

I just cant get Two-a-days out of my mind with him...but if he is good enough for Saban...:cool2:

Oh, and this is what I came to check on/post about. But Lame Kitten has stolen my James Willis thunder. At any rate, Willis jumped ship from Auburn to come with us, won his ring and now has a chance to get a promotion as the DC. I say go for it. Good luck!

Not surprised by this considering his familiarity with Tubbs and the fact that it's a promotion, I wish him well. CNS will have no trouble adequately replacing him though IMHO.

If Willis leaves, would CNS welcome Lance Thompson back? Isn't Freddie Roach part of the S&C team? Could he replace CJW?
I could be wrong, but, owing to the way Lance left, I think his bridge is burned. All the dogs thought Nick compared UGA to a septic tank, but he was really referring to the way Lance left (and he wasn't calling UT a septic tank either). I don't think Roach has the experience yet and, as above, I keep hearing Prewitt, although I have some misgivings there, also...

Sunseri takes over linebackers (completely) and Saban finds another highly competent person to work with both d-line and linebackers, thus preparing both Sunseri and Bo Davis to advance.

Maybe Bill Clark - DC at South Alabama? His Prattville High teams played defense, and would be a huge recruiting asset. Especially in what was Willis' area.

Speaking of Special Teams Coaches, I wonder how Ron Middleton is doing at Duke?
Middleton would still be with us if it weren't for his wife's cancer, which they're treating at Duke. Presuming she's still receiving treatment, I wouldn't think he'd be open to a move.

Boy, we sure could use him! I hate this twist for both sides but moreso for what his wife and he are enduring. Life doesn't always seem fair.

If these rumors are right and Willis has indeed left for a DC position, I wish him the best and thanks for the time with us. Wish we had him longer but I understand the lure of advancing to a DC position.

Is Prewitt the young guy that was with CNS at LSU and the Dolphins? Maybe average height and build, light brown hair, maybe 30 years old?

He's from Hoover's staff originally and I think it's the same guy. I was misspelling his name - it's "Pruitt." Personally, I kinda like this delay. It ain't over till it's over...

It may be a different guy. The one I'm asking about spoke to our REC club about a year ago. I don't recall the Hoover part of it, but he was about the youngest guy on the staff, but had been with CNS the longest. Last year I recall seeing him on the sidelines, but didn't notice him this year. I think he met CNS at a friends lake cabin at Lake B. of all places, later followed up about a grad assist job at LSU and got it.
