Q: What is your best talent outside of football?
A: “Drawing. I like to draw, if you consider that a talent. I like to disguise myself as other people, too. I call that a talent. I like telling people that I am somebody else. I tell people that I play water polo and if they ask me what position I play I tell them right water. I don’t even know if that is a position but I tell them that I play right water.”
I'm surprised he went to Auburn. I thouight Steve Spurrier said that all those coloring books burned in that campus fire back in 1996. :biggrin2:

I love how it reads like a fantastic parody of Auburn's academic standards... but instead of being fake... ;)

Q: What is your favorite Auburn tradition and why?
A: "The rolling of Toomer’s corner because I had never experienced something so amazing in my life. When I came to Auburn I saw all of these people huddled around this tree and I was like, ‘What is this?’ You have all of these people and they have all of this toilet paper. They have soft toilet paper and every kind of toilet paper and they are all throwing it at a tree. I was like ‘Why are they throwing all of this toilet paper at a tree?,’ and they told me that they were rolling Toomer’s corner. I asked who is going to clean all of this mess up and they told me that the wind would blow it all away or the rain would wash it down. They said sometimes they have people come clean it up and I said that I wouldn’t want to have to clean up all of this toilet paper."

I gotta wonder about a guy who thinks this is the most amazing thing he has ever seen.

I've tried to refrain from making this post because it's not very nice, but when you read that article you just can't help but think.....God what a dumb***!

Ken Darby ran for almost 1,200 yards last year with a very sub-par offensive line. I believe Darby could clear the 1,500-1,600 yard mark given some good blocking. Darby is a kind of back that can gain 5-10 yards by himself if there is a beakdown up front. So that being said, I believe Darby is just as good if not better than Kenny Irons.

I see no need to sugarcoat it. KD displays a lot of qualities and intangibles that go beyond sheer athletic ability.

Irons has character issues, and if was any dumber you'd have to water him.

I dont think there is anyone who would deny that they would love to continue there youth, but I can only imagine what Mr Irons will say in the interviews to NFL Scouts. Or when he gets poped by Ray Lewis or the likes.

Just a weird vision I had after reading the interview was Him in Major Payne....
"O, Children." HAHAHA

I am sure if KI played from Bama he would be the best and if KD played for Auburn he would be dumb and not be as good. Did you think your were honestly going to get a honest opinion on here about this? This is a Bama board, of course we are going to say the Bama player is better.

They are two different type backs so the comparison is really moot. Darby is a slashing type runner who can pick his way through holes and has great patience. Irons is a one cut and gone back. You rarely see him "waiting" in the backfield. He is quick to the LOS, makes his "cut" and goes north.

They are both excellent backs and I'd take either one.

I just read the snippets from the irons interview to my wife. I think she's figuring out these barners (she's from texas).

She's like: "What's he gonna say next? I like to disguise myself as other people. I like to pretend I'm a robber and put on a ski mask and sneak up behind people and tell them to give me their money. They run away scared and give me their money cause they think I'm a real robber. It's real funny!"
