It’s actually four games. For one game, yes. To run three games in a row? There’s a reason they’re 9-3 and it’s wholly inconsistent with winning it all.

Agreed, but it requires the right personnel and lackadaisical game preparation by Alabama. My only point is the blueprint to stop us is out there. It’s nothing overly complicated.
Kent State deserves a chanceI can already hear the bottom six FBS teams that are left out complaining...
ND may have only 1 loss but it was to Northern Illinois. They only beat 1 current Top 25 team (#24 Army). Perhaps they should be ranked lower so then they wouldn't have to play Bama.Well, apparently we don't belong, but yet teams would rather play someone else...

Latest CFP rankings totally screw over Notre Dame in first-round matchup
Notre Dame's dream season isn't exactly being rewarded.fansided.com
But then you'd get an argument from Southern Miss saying they were more deserving. Nothing works!I know how to solve all of this....
National Championship game played between Purdue and Kent State
First team to 10 is the champ.
Yea, remember a dude named Michael Turner that ran for about 500 yards on us? We've lost to those guys before and it ain't fun.Northern Illinois has had some very good teams but not this year. They were 7-5, including losses to Buffalo, Toledo, Ball St. and Miami of Ohio
Funniest thing is notre dame could be undefeated ranked #1 in all the polls and they still would only be 5th ranked in the playoffs. The stupid conference winner bye rule will never allow them to have a 1st round bye.ND may have only 1 loss but it was to Northern Illinois. They only beat 1 current Top 25 team (#24 Army). Perhaps they should be ranked lower so then they wouldn't have to play Bama.
Not sure I follow, CA. Discussing blue blood privilege and brand bias is Kanell speak? I really don’t like that guy, so.. En Garde! That's Danny K*nnell speak and without evidence. Texas has played an 'easy' SEC schedule but is 11-1 - and an easy SEC schedule is still a lot harder than most.
I'm fine with whatever the committee chooses, but I'm not going to denigrate a team that played a vicious schedule and dropped a few 'easy games' then turn around and reward someone 'only losing two games' vs a far easier schedule. It's crazy to me that in a 12 team playoff we still have people propping up what is essentially the old BSu schedule (or UCF from 2017) as if they're playing the same game.
Elaborate on the Mechanics of that? I want reassurance injected into my veins. If Clemson wins big, Alabama will wind up at 10, IMO.
Including a particular domicile in Mobile, AL?They spout nonsense every single year and more times than not completely disregard anything they've said in previous weeks when they actually make the final selection that counts.
I'm not arguing that Bama should be in or that they deserve to be in because I don't think either are true but it's clear what the committee's intention are with these rankings.
They want either Bama vs ND or Bama vs PSU because it will draw major ratings.
Very true. The missing piece has been the deep shot chunk plays. They have almost dried up completely. My only point is the blueprint to stop us is out there. It’s nothing overly complicated.
So they are a playoff worthy team!Northern Illinois has had some very good teams but not this year. They were 7-5, including losses to Buffalo, Toledo, Ball St. and Miami of Ohio
Good question. My guess would be not too far since they have good winsWhat happens if UT crushes UGA? How far does UGA drop with 3 losses?
Clemson is 17th now, and the committee doesn't like their resume or record. With a win they would make the CFP as an automatic qualifier, but stay behind Alabama. SMU would drop behind them and out of the race altogether. The winner of the Big 12 would also remain behind Alabama. This places Alabama at 10.Elaborate on the Mechanics of that? I want reassurance injected into my veins.
