I have noticed he is getting called for holding. At least twice Saturday. I saw in the KY game he got called for holding I thought doubtful given what is allowed these days. Anybody?

Every time I hear Alabama, holding. I think of Britt or Tatum. Those seem to be the two names I hear called all the time.

It is much more likely for them to call a tackle for holding than

a guard because the tackles are usually going against a fast defensive end. Also, I think that the calls this year for the most part have been chicken $*&T calls!

A couple of the calls on Tatum...

have been legit. I've seen him take his man down twice and that'll always get called - college or pros. But, he's very much still learning to be an OT. I'm still boggled that he's made the progress he has. I'm sure he'll shift to LT as soon as WB is gone...

Closner and Tatum will have to be the leaders on the OL next year. With the progess Tatum has made this year, he might just be the best OL next year.

As far as I'm concerned, the entire Alabama program is being singled out by the referees, the NCAA, the media...you name it. And I don't know when, if ever, it will all be straightened out.

Actually...

that worried me also. They've already cheap-shot his leg once. We're crying about losing our #1QB and our #1RB. They once took out both in one game with cheap shots. There will be cheap shots - count on it...

I think that the ref's are just human. Once they call a penalty on someone, they probably tend to watch that player a little more closely. Also, Britt is huge. It must be hard for him to get away with anything because he nearly blocks out the sun. He's hard to miss.
