I'm sure most of you watched the SEC CG and watched Nick Fairley and Auburn's DL continually getting penetration on the Gamecocks offense. If you're watching the Big 12 game you're seeing the same thing.
The old school coaches are right. The game of football is won at the LOS. Auburn has probably the worst secondary I've seen in years. Yet when it counts their DL can cause havoc in the backfield. Nebraska's defense is now becoming known for having dominating DL'men. I was really, really expecting Big Josh Chapman to emerge as a dominant DL'man this season being behind Cody last season. Especially seeing how physically strong he is.
Having a penetrating DL just changes the game. Teams are almost stuck in the mud as to what they can do against you. I hope this is one of the things (along with the OL) that DRASTICALLY gets better in 2011.
