I think it will be a good game until the 4thQ; Then the Tide will get a long drive and keep Tenn offense off the field in the 4th.

we are playing the best rush defense in the sec, and they only gave up crucial points to ga on special teams in the 4th quarter, and a rushing touchdown when it meant nothing in the 4th quarter.

I think what points are scored in this game will be scored early and then become a defensive game in the 4th. I don't see long sustained drives by either team in the 4th Qtr. I think we will run just good enough to open up some big pass plays. UT will try to out-physical us but I give us the edge at QB and the home field advantage, plus we have a pretty good defense too  . BD will be LOUD on Sat., probably louder than its ever been. Not a blow-out, but I think Bama wins by 10.
ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!! BEAT THEM vols!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it will be a low-scoring, defensive battle. I think the only way either team reaches the kind of score some are posting is in (God forbid) overtime. I hope we run well enough to open up the passing game. I think UT's secondary, especially with Allen lost, is susceptible. Getting rushing yards and Brodie time to throw on UT's DL will be the challenge.

This is a huge rivalry, so a lot more emotion, heart, and determination go into this game. I think that Alabama will probably have the higher motivation for obvious reasons but the score will more than likely be a close one. I say:
Alabama~24
Tennessee~17

Old Fashioned game

Who can run and stop the run? With Tennersee's front seven, Bama has got to find a way to run the ball. I think the viles will take a page from the old miss play book, and we will see a ton of run blitz. Hopefully the 0-line will show up and crack some seams for Darby. If we can gain some yards early on the ground, that will open up the play action and Brodie could have a big day...as long as the receivers get the butter off their fingers before the game.

I look for the pumpkins to dink away with short passes if clausen is at qb. If that is the case, we have to have solid tackling and stop the yac's. Ainge is an unknown right now, but if he gets his head on straight, he can be dangerous. Pressure will be the key on Ainge. Cover the short and mid range passes if Clausen is in...and play tall along the D-line. Riggs is a solid back. But if we tackle well, he hasn't shown that he can make a lot of yards after contact.

We miss Prothro. (understatement of the year?)

But all things being equal, if both teams play to their potential...It will be a nail biter

Bama 23
Viles 17
