Just imagine what the new batch of these Spears children will be like when they hit their teens.
I hope they're a distant memory by then, maybe 30 seconds on VH1's "Remember the 00's."
I think that there are too many people in the world who see a story like this and judge. This girl, who is 16, has been disparaged in very sad ways in this thread. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves. You have all made mistakes, and some of them have been far worse than having sex at 16.

16-year-olds having children is a big problem, period. She's in the 10th grade maybe? Of course, "Mom" deserves some blame for all this.

Yeah, if she had only been on welfare, she would have had compulsive birth control and not had to worry about a "mistake." Any person, of any race or age, that cannot afford to have a child and practices risky sex should be beaten within an inch of their lives. If they are on the public dole, they should be banned from ever receiving another nickel. Not judging, just taking steps to help force the poor to make better decisions for themselves and society in general.

OK. NYBF, 16 years old or not, this girl (under the "guidance" of her mother) has put her life in the public eye in exchange for money and fame. There is a price to be paid for money, celebrity and fame and nowadays that price is judgment from the public and near constant hounding by the paparazzi/media. I think many of us can feel a good deal of compassion for this girl, but it has its limits considering her chosen lifestyle. That being said, I personally put far more blame on Lynn Spears for raising not one but two daughters with such loose moral standards for all the world to see. I'm not giving Jamie Lynn a pass by any means, but I can certainly imagine how she got to where she now finds herself. I'd be interested to know how many people on this board would allow their 16 year old daughter to have a live-in boyfriend? I'd also be interested to know how many would pimp out their 11 year old kids by putting them in show business in the first place? My answer to both is "Heck NO!"
This unfortunate girl's childhood has been cut short and it's a sad, sad thing...mostly for the unborn child who now stands to be "raised" by parents (if the boyfriend sticks around, which he likely won't) less then 20 years his or her senior.

As soon as I read the news last night that Jamie Spears was pregnant I walked straight into my living room and called my daughters back to the computer. I asked them if they wanted to see another teen girl who has thrown away her life. When they saw who I was talking about, they were quite surprised. My oldest, 12, had only one comment. She is going to be just like her sister.
I also feel she should be removed from her show and until she is, I cannot in good concious let my kids watch "Zoey101." Let her go back to Louisiana and never be heard from again.
