The Wahingtonian did a combination puff-piece/fashion-ad featuring the White House press secretary and his family. If you want to lose some brain cells, give it a read here: Link.

I like the posters in the background of the kitchen shot.

Good stuff.

Wonder what's in the rest of the house?

Gotta be some Chairman Mao and Che Guevera stuff sprinkled around.

What you might see in Glenn beck's house. http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/opinion/56643489-82/beck-exhibition-glenn-karl.html.csp

The adjoining room contained objects from Glenn Beck's personal collection. This included a hooded KKK cape and a swastika banner which had been used at Nuremberg. Underneath was an illuminated vitrine containing a copy of Mein Kampf signed by Adolf Hitler, a stack of love letters by Hermann Göring, and a satin handkerchief browned with Hitler's blood. Nearby was an early edition of Anne Frank's Diary.

Knew Glenn had gone off the deep end.

Yes, because a historical exhibit of Nazi memorabilia is the same as having Communist memorabilia hanging in your house. Sometimes I reluctantly enjoy sparring with you.

But sometimes you try to sell excrement to us by telling us it's a jelly doughnut. Carney is NOT A jelly doughnut.

If he had a copy of the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. Constitution hanging up, he'd have his home seized and be arrested.

Here's some more from the man who knows three people named Hillary Rosen:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ouse-press-secretarys-bookshelves-blanks.html

Check out the picture. Apparently there weren't enough books in the Carney collection to fill up the shelves, so the magazine photoshopped books and placed them elsewhere. Specifically, see the kid's pinky finger on his left hand? Look on that same shelf on the right side, fourth book from the end. :biggrin2:

Can't make this stuff up.

Notice the top shelf too where the first four or five books are shopped in reverse including Al Gore's book.

Both outer edges of the bookshelf, top to bottom, are mirrored - there must have been something on the right-hand side of the photo they wanted removed.

Probably the statue of Stalin.

This has exploded and it's hilarious.

http://www.mediaite.com/online/thre...monthly-that-make-jay-carney-look-ridiculous/

And you thought Washington cared about the crisis of starvation in East Africa. Sure, they will tell you they care, but $750 in produce, mounds of breakfast meats, at least 60 pancakes, an entire loaf of bread, what appears to be a plate of just butter, and an overflowing platter of pastries say something quite different.

Of course, the cautiously placed blueberries on the counter — the only evidence that a morning meal which would have made pre-revolutionary Versailles blush has been prepared in this immaculate kitchen — suggests this image was carefully staged.

That, and the young man’s perfectly fried egg, which has been captured in it’s perfection mid-flip. A maneuver which, by the way, no one would ever perform because the egg’s impact on the pan — presuming you were skillful enough to catch it — would send yolk rocketing everywhere. But, I know. This is art.

VJ, the link you so kindly provided clearly states the magazine "Washington Mom" did the photoshopping. Shouldn't your ire and ridicule be directed at the magazine?
I can't join you on your circuitous journey, but many others here will travel with you. I thought I had brought you closer to the light but alas, that was illusory.

I dunno....Washingtonian or Washingtonian MOM aren't on my regular reading list. For obvious reasons.

I'm not sure how that minor mistake minimizes their chopping off and placing the poor young 'uns pinky finger all the way on the other side of the room.

Some of those books appear to have labels on the binders, like they were perhaps pilfered from a public library.

Just sayin.'
