That picture is a game played between Alabama and Tennessee at Legion Field in Birmingham or possibly Neyland?? I am almost sure it was LF.

Back then as Con said, the teams could both play in their home jerseys for that game.

Thank you both. I never made the connection and I watched those games if televised.

I read Namath by Mark Kriegel. He must have been something before all the knee injuries. Shame we didn't get to see a fully healthy Namath other than a few years at Alabama. Quite a life he's had with good and bad.

Namath was before my time. I remember watching him play with shattered knees late in his NFL career.

Imagine seeing a young and uninjured Namath. Sadly, I never saw that part of his career.
