Great line by George Foreman in the broadcast booth when asked by Gottfried why he named all his boys George:

"You let Muhammed Ali hit you and see how many names you can remember."

Hmmm, well, first, i dont know that ive ever posted about them, even once, so im not sure how that qualifies as being "consumed." But if you're suggesting that I care whether a particular football coach has a team that cannot escape continuing allegations that he (even tacitly) allows or encourages his players to use steroids, or that MULTIPLE players on his team have been accused of rape....well, yeah, I guess I care about that. I guess if his team can run the ball, and he's a "winnah," then that's enough for you. To each his own.
Accusations are just that, accusations and there is not much more that can be said about that. If you are asking me whether I think that Paul Johnson encourages kids to use steroids or rape women then NO, emphatically! And yes, he is a winner, always will be a winner and would be a big time winner at Alabama if we were ever lucky enough to have him as a head coach...which probably will not happen unfortunately.

Where are these "continuing allegations" that you refer to? I read several sports sections every day and watch Sportscenter every day and Im not seeing them. You like to make fun of Baxter for pimping Johnson, but you seem to be even more zealous in your crusade against Johnson.

Spaziani (sp) 2nd Interim Head Coach So far in Bowls, how does he fair against ours conidering he's still playing with the same H number 23 team in the nation ?

So far he doesn't have an answer for Navy and Johnson, he hasn't been able to effectively stop their running game, and with what air game they've had they've been ineffective at stoping it as well.

(edit: well thats two drive BC has stopped so)

Not over by far. Things could change?

Was our Interim Team better than Their Interim Team vs. their respective opponents?

Questions and Observations-Navy vs. BC Bowl Game

1. Did you notice when they went to the close up shots after each play how much larger BC's players were?
It was clear they were extremely outmanned physically by much taller, larger and faster BC players, yet they still should have won the game.

2. How many times can you recall that you could see a head coach's head over his players helmets? I think most of Navy's players are under 6'.

3. Did you notice that there was no "showboating" or "hot dogging" by Navy's players like BC's? The Navy players would just hand the ball to the official after a TD.

4. It appears Navy seems to "play as a team". They should have been blown out.

5. Did you notice the nice passing highlights when they showed past years bowl highlights for Navy?
It's clear that Navy's QB has no arm like some past QB's, including the injured starter.

6. I noticed very few penalties by Navy, including a couple of "phantom" holding calls. That last turnover was the only one, but 1 too many.

That tells me I don't want an under-sized team with a QB with no arm. That's all it tells me...;)

Edit: Oh, it also reminds me of how little I like the option offense...

Re: Questions and Observations-Navy vs. BC Bowl Game

I think it is pretty obvious that Navy was a very well-coached team that understood their assignments and executed very well which made up for their physical deficiencies. They couldn't afford any mistakes, and unfortunately they made a single mistake and it cost them.

Running the option on that last play was a stupid play and cost Navy the game. Didn't we just fire a coach for bad play calling? Navy played a great game and desreved to win but lost because of coaching mistakes. I am sorry but I am not sold on Coach Johnson at all after watching this game. Sure they looked good for a while in the first half but BC totally dominated after halftime, no second half adjustments for Navy at all. I just don't think this is the coach we need, do a little some different in the first half and then no adjustments at halftime and do nothing in the second half. I have had enough of that.
