Not just with this, but sometimes it seems as though when you get some of these guys out from under a standards and rules based structure such as ones established by some coaches , they just don’t have the personal responsibility and fortitude to handle their own lives. No substitute for good EARLY upbringing.

I’m not condoning or dismissing domestic violence, but the charges are always numerous, and the cops always take the utmost caution by removing one of the participants, typically the dude.

Packers' Josh Jacobs released from jail; investigation ongoing

Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been released from jail Wednesday amid an ongoing investigation following his arrest on several domestic violence charges.

“After reviewing the available evidence in this case, the Brown County District Attorney's Office is not yet prepared to make a formal charging decision," District Attorney David L. Lasee said in a statement. "Our office has requested additional investigation, as there is reason to believe that additional evidence may exist that would impact whether criminal charges are appropriate, and what charges would be issued. Mr. Jacobs will be released from custody at this time, and a final charging decision will be made by our office at a later date."

Can someone translate the lawyer speak? Seems like they’re trying to backtrack a little.

It’s obviously a good thing for him to be released without paying bond, right?

As I said. doesn't "sound" good, but these things play themselves out over time................and considering the prosecutors are asking for additional evidence, who knows

I know this isn't the PC thing to say, but sometimes women lie. I am not saying that is going on here, but some are pretty vindictive.

Where I live, if LEO is called for a domestic violence issue, someone has to leave in the back of the cruiser and spend the night in jail. The local lockup roster online shows it’s mostly the male in the situation but I have observed females in the pokey for DV charges. It’s all usually 3rd degree DV which I’m told could be as little as slamming a door on someone.
