100% agree with him. Similar opponents facing less talented teams get held to less points is what I've noticed on our defense. Even with injuries we should have performed better.

He has some valid points about the defense, in particular the secondary. He seems to have a common sense approach to things IMO.

On another note, I found his video on Dabo to be real spot on!!!

Can anyone condense the Cliff Notes version or do I have to wait until I have time for the whole shmear?
Just passing along what he says, not agreeing or disagreeing.....

Lots of good, clear-eyed analysis. Not gloom and doom, but not shying away from legitimate observations.

Questions some sacred cows — especially S&C and DBs. Says some inside and outside sources are alleging that the game has changed, but Cochran hasn’t, and that’s been a major contributor to our 3-year rash of injuries. Says the DBs under-performed, and didn’t get better as the year went on.

Also says there needs to be change in the defensive coaching staff. Gives some oblique hints at some off-field stuff regarding Golding‘s “personal life.” Doesn’t say what it is, and doesn’t dwell on it. I’d not heard a whisper along those lines, so that tidbit was a surprise.

Highly complimentary of Sark and especially the job he did getting Mac ready. Highly complimentary of Najee late in the season, and complimentary of Flood, the OL and its improvement as the year went on (other than the interminable false-start penalties).

Thanks for the notes. I have not watched the video yet. I wonder what Saban thinks of Cochran's conditioning program, and if it really is behind the times, and if that will be addressed. 3 years in a row with more injuries to starters than most top contenders is something to look at.

I read on another Bama site when I was browsing a few weeks ago that the issues with Golding had to do with family but not sure if true. I think it mentioned some family members were stirring up trouble.

It will be interesting after signing day what happens with Golding and others. Hope we get stability as much as possible.

I would like some elaboration on the S & C issue. I didn't really get what this guy meant. Are we overdoing it, underdoing it, working too much on muscle vs speed/agility or what. Can anyone in the know pass on what they think was meant here.
