I get why Byrne hired this guy even though PNW coaches have consistently failed in the SEC. He had an immaculate record. But why agree to the ridiculous buyout?
I wish a few of them would show up to the facility and tell players and coaches if theyre not willing to commit everything they've got to this program then leave. That they are an embarrassment.I can’t even imagine guys doing this on the field on past teams.
They would have been ate up by guys like Rolando McClain or Hightower or Foster or Jonathan Allen etc before CNS could even get to them.
Former players have to be seeing absolute RED watching this horse crap.
Only the most die-hard sunshine pumpers can defend this. This is the culture that was developed in the offseason. Blame the HC and the other coaches. It falls directly at their feet.
Sheesh man. Can't watch his pressers due to coach speak but reading the transcript is even worse.
He sounds like a guys who has watched a lot of football but never coached a team at any level, much less major college football. It would be funny if you thought he was doing it as a spoof of a college coach.
Nothing about DeBoer's time at Alabama gives me any confidence in his coaching, or his ability to run a major program. Nothing. Someone in his org can recruit, but that's unrelated.
Every time I see him or hear him I think he's a fan who won some kind of contest where being a head coaching for game is the prize...only they're letting him do it for the season.
I bet they really hate it after this week.Somebody needs to make him read the transcript so he will see what he sounds like...
Word is he and his family dont like Tuscaloosa... I hope this doesnt result in our version of Brian Harsin, tank the program so you can get all your money...
Unless you are at least in your 30s, I wonder how many people on here don't get the clap, clap, clap reference? LolDeBoer is soft - unless / until he changes (which I don't think is possible) this is what Bama is now. Soft. Unintimidating.
*clap, clap, clap*
I just watched that abomination of a press conference and its was painful to sit through the entire thing. If what he's doing on the field and with the players is similar to how he conducts PC's lord help up. He should be kicking major azz but he's dodging and tip toeing around. Very disappointed in that press conference attitude. It seems like what Im seeing on that podium is reflected in what we're seeing on the field. So he acknowledges there were players with bouts of lack of effort. Yet his answer to that acknowledgement is way too politically correct. He never directly said one negative thing toward or about the players for it. They should have had their butts publicly called out as a group and DeBoer should have made it publicly known he wasn't going to tolerate it. But, he didnt...
I hope what you heard is wrong. If those things are happening we've got a 3 ALARM FIRE! That is a complete lack of team focus and discipline. That is NOT a winning culture, it's one built to lose. I REALLY hope that is bad info.I'm beyond confused as to how the man was able to express himself well enough during formal interviews to be hired. Someone on here mentioned " word salads " . I must agree. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but the things I'm reading about how he handles or maybe I should say doesn't handle the team is really concerning. People in and out of the motel the team was staying in at all hours .... also heard they were ordering door dash into the middle of the night I don't know if it's true but the team sure doesn't play with any intensity or Energy. I sure hope someone can get in KD ear and tell him where he is who he is coaching .... and it ain't Washington !!!!
Personally it makes me MAD ..... I mean does he even care ????????
