Keith Brown has been providing a spark, IMO.

I've noticed some talk about Brown "grandstanding" and dropping passes. I could be wrong, but it has seemed to me that most all our receivers have dropped one or more balls lately.Furthermore, more often than not, the ball isn't even getting to them. Personally, I thought that Brown had provided a spark, when he had gotten into the game, the last two weeks. he did drop one or two against FSU, but he also made some very intrical and some difficult catches. It seems like the field opens up a little more, when we have Brown and Hall on the field together.

I definitely think he plays as hard as anyone on the field. It's still odd for me to not see him catching a pass or two on each drive like we've been used to seeing.

He's done some things and not done some things which have moved him down on CNS's list. This is the only list that counts...

I agree, & it's good to see him fighting to get back in the rotation. Can't ever underestimate the value of Senior leadership, on the field.

Actually, ALL of our receivers have contributed this year, & is DEFINITELY the strength of this team. We just need to do a better job of getting the ball in their hands. I doubt Alabama has ever had as talented a group.

BTW, IMO, there was no fake in the hit he took on the goal line catch.

agreed brown should be starting next to dj...

mccoy hasnt shown me too much but he is still green of course
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a coach that observes everything on the field at all times. But it seems that everytime I pay attention to him, Mike McCoy is making an awesome block that springs a nice run. That probably plays a role, also.

I agree. I rewatched the game, and you could see the top of the helmet hit him right on the chin strap.
Another thread discussing this was locked, so I will chime in here and say that I retract my statement that KB was KO'd by a "phantom punch". I thought the DB hit him low (chest), but I went back and watched that one play last night, and I saw that there was contact with the DB's helmet that abruptly snapped KB's head to the side.

That was a huge play by KB. I think that toughness will carry over into the rest of the season. Way to hold onto the ball long enough for it to stay a TD!

Wilson had a wide open Oakley near the goal line yet he throws it into 3 deep coverage...
I've yet to see Stover catch a pass and Oakley has been open many times and overlooked.
The receivers are not blocking very well and creating lanes.
Brown needs to throw a body and stop worrying about getting to the NFL.
Saban said it best yesterday....players need to stop pointing fingers at others and point to themselves.

The knock on KB is he can make an outstanding play but then it's a drop or a missed block or he can't stay on the field because he's hurt or been suspended not kicking the guy but if Hall had the size speed of KB he would be the next Jerry Rice. I pull for all the guys but him not being tough will take alot of money away from him come draft time. We have not signed a guy with his kind of skills in years. Hopefully he will finish strong good luck to him.
