I was wondering if anybody has seen Drake running full speed in practice. If so, can you tell if he still has the speed he had before, or has anybody heard whether or not his injury from 2014 has slowed him down?

He may not have lost his speed, but I wonder if it will affect his concentration or aggressiveness when facing contact. Pain that produces horrific screams like what we heard in the Ole Miss game isn't easily forgotten.

He's a different kind of dude. Like....what you'd call a weirdo. Said he watched the break several times, including in the hospital that night after it happened. He says he's fine with the contact and has actually been begging the coaches to let him go live since the spring

If he stays healthy he will have a big year. Impact player for sure.

Could someone actually answer the opening poster's question with facts please?

Anyone have any facts that Drake hasn't lost any speed?

Because of the injury, I find it hard to imagine Drake not losing speed.

Prove me wrong please????

If I remember correctly he did a timed forty in the spring and it was exceptionally fast, too lazy to find the article though. He's also added weight.

Take a deep breath, it's going to be ok.

Yes, he is some heavier. Just watching, he does not appear to be any slower. Personally, I'm more concerned about his hamstring, which just has such an incredibly wide range of possible outcomes, from you can't tell and never hear about it again to the nagging sort of thing that slows you down and keeps you out of games.

Whatever happens, I'm going to be rooting for this kid as much as I am for anyone on the team. Just looking at it when it happened, all I could think of was poor Prothro....

Yep, if both guys stay healthy, DH and KD could put up great numbers. I'm excited to see how KD is utilized, especially.

What is your deal? You've been around this board long enough to know the posters who know. WMack's posts answered the question. Dude has proven time and time again to have reliable and accurate information about the football team and even recruiting. Read the board before you get all aggressive.
