Kickoff time for Utah State game?

From my memory, HC has always started at 2:00 and I don't believe that will change this year. It will only be on PPV anyway, so the start time doesn't really matter.
phil2366: Regardless of game time (2pm or 2:30), you & your Dad had better be there early if you need a parking space. One thing -- there's always plenty of spots for Dad to sit & relax before game time! Hope you have a blast! My son looks forward to h/c every year!

Okay boys and girls there is no set time for HC each year, Kickoff can be anytime of the day depending on tv, since we usually play a weaker opponent it very often does not get picked up therefore the University will go with an afternoon kickoff so people can each themselves. There have been several 11:30 kickoffs which they don't like because it screws up their schedules but tv means money and their not going to turn down money. I would think it is unlikely that JP or CBS would pick that game up but depending on other SEC games that week it could happen, and I'm sure the reason Roll Tide.com still says TBA is because they are waiting to see if the game will be televised, if that was not the case they would simply have posted the kickoff time already.
Homecoming
The vast majority of homecoming games have NOT been on TV. If it's not on TV, kickoff has ranged from 1:30 to 2:30 pm over the last 10-15 yrs. They like it at that time for scheduling of homecoming events.

Sweet Midnight Madness game! Now that is funny, can you imagine how drunk some of our fans would be? P.S. I would be included in that group.
Like I said it usually is a midafternoon game and thats their desired kickoff time but if the game got picked up for tv, then they'll adjust everything around it, but with it being versus Utah State I'm guessing it'll be Crimson Tide Network pay-per-view.

Laura, under the SEC's television contracts, each school can tell TV to take a hike once each season. UA has done this before at homecoming in order to avoid morning or night kickoffs. If any of the SEC's television partners wants to televise the game in any slot from 1:00 to 4:00 or so, UA would certainly welcome the opportunity to be on TV; however, we would not move HC to morning or night. UA's attitude is: "Been there. Done that. Not gonna do it again!"
Also, we are inside the 12-day window for that day's games. CBS has already used its two (2) 6-day exemptions for this season. Therefore, all the TV games for that date have already been selected and announced. Our game will be at 2:00 P.M. on PPV.

Hey Jeff, duh (just kidding) yes I know we can tell them to take a hike, and they have before, I agree that they do not want an 11:00 kickoff because it screws up the whole day. I wiss simply pointing out to the person who said he thought that HC was ALWAYS a 2:00 game, that it isn't. Yes most of the time it is, but based on tv occasionally it doesn't work out that way.
