This is what I thought when I first saw it this morning. He has a tendency to lie whenever he opens his mouth whether intentional or not. This is just a way to make himself look better. I feel the vol fans were upset, but really now. Why threaten to kill someone who only won 7 games?

I figure he probably did receive death threats. Heck, people were marching the streets in Knoxville, burning mattresses, and trying to block the athletic complex so he couldn't leave, so to me it's very believeable. However, alot of it was just kids looking for an excuse to have some fun. If you look back at those videos, most of them are laughing about it and just trying to join in the revelry of it all. If any of them were truly mad, it was likely because Kiffin was trying to steal all their recruits while he left, not because they were made he was leaving.

But...we all warned the UT faithful all along, and most of them drank the cool aid and said they liked what Kiffin was doing, so in a way they deserved it.

What does he expect after the way he left the poor little Vols the way he did? This is the SEC and SEC fans often go way too far, and cross the line, but it is what it is. FWIW, I don't believe it at all. He never seemed credible to me in the first place. I think Tennessee is much better off without him. Even if it's true, I couldn't care less. Lane Kiffen is an insignificant, shallow buffoon whose day of reckoning will come sooner or later.

Vol fans? I assumed they were from his wife for hooking up with all of the coeds. Kiffypoo is either the smartest person in the world or the luckiest. He makes a ton of money, continues to get great jobs, has a hot wife, hooks up with other hot chicks, and doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. I keep thinking he will burn his bridges, but he continues to fall into piles of poop and comes out smelling like a rose. Like I said in another post, he will probably get the Dallas Cowboys's job next. Oh, I forgot that USC was his dream job.
