It's funny, I agree totally about their fans and my attendance at games due directly to past incidents with them. I passed on last year's NC game.(I live in Atlanta and had an opportunity to go.) I made a last minute decision to go Saturday. Sooo glad I did!!! Not just the win, but I think we may have just broken their fanbase...seriously. After the last few games I went to , win or lose their fans wanted to fight. Literally. Saturday on the way back to the CNN deck, you could hear a pin drop..it was glorious!!! Broken or not, they're wobbling and the ref just asked for a standing 8 count...Love it!!! RTR!!!
You know until the NCG earlier this year I have never been around UGA fans... I take that back Ive been around 1 but he was a weirdo and was a pretty good fan. But my Auburn friends (yes I have some) kept telling me that they were the worst fans to be around. I was like "worst than Michigan and Florida fans? (sorry Bazza I had very bad experiences with Florida fans during Spurrier and Urban's runs)" I have to tell you UGA fans are a different breed. Barking at you, talking about how great Atlanta is compared to every Podunk town in Alabama, and just off the wall obnoxiousness. I had a chance to go yesterday, and I said Ill pass because Ive had enough of UGA fans in the state of Georgia during a ball game to last a lifetime, and Ill wait until they bring their butt to T-town in 2020.

Kirby has done an excellent job at Ga. They are way above Richt teams. And Buzzard is right; they wouldn't be built the way they are if not for Kirby's time under Saban. And he has also given Coach Saban extra fire, so to speak, a challenge that I think helps extends his coaching at Bama. But Kirby can't shake the Ga dna, thankfully, so he has to eat sour grapes, and spew what Ga does after every loss they have in a big game. They will never change.
Richt was 32-8 in 3 seasons, 1-1 in the SECCG with Jim Donnan recruits.

Kirby is 32-9 in 3 seasons, 1-1 in the SECCG with some of Richt’s best recruiting classes.

Kirby has achieved the same Richt did in his first 3 seasons with far superior talent.

KS was over the top emotional for he knew that he had lost not only the SECCG but any chance at the National Championship with one pretty reckless call. When he saw that we had it covered, he should have called time out and punted...

i fully expected him to make a case for their inclusion, hell saban and our players were making that case. i think it was his whiny use of "go ask that coach" that was over the top.

personally, i think he made an ass out of himself. but i am a little bit biased.

Well, I can see that, too.

Mark Richt's first season was also Spurrier's last and Fulmer was still benefiting from recruiting due to the 1998 national title.
South Carolina with Granny Holtz was also better at the time.

Just to illuminate the context fwiw.

I wonder in all the excitement and hoopla do the UGA fans realize this? LOL! If I'm a Jawja fan and look at this information you just laid out, and couple it with what has happened to "us" over the last two years on the biggest stage. I'm starting to pump the brakes a bit.

Smart is that miniature schnauzer who barks like he'll tear you apart because he knows there's a fence between you and him.

Almost wish UGA had gotten in so they could face a Bama team playing their game instead of one filled with self-inflicted errors. Almost. But in reality, it's more fun enjoying the dawgs salty tears because they literally have no chance of winning it all. Again.

and he is (or at least was) still trying to defend that moronic call. i re-watched the 4th quarter yesterday (i would recommend this to all, it is salve for the soul) and couldn't believe he did it. i didn't really watch what was happening in real time as i was so psyched that we were getting the ball back. by the time i realized what had happened, we had already tackled fields.

i paid more attention on the re-watch and his whole "we had the right look, we just didn't snap it in time" was a bunch of bs.

All true

Well I was expecting you to give me CNS’s first 3 seasons here with Shula probabation recruits. Lol.

My point is UGA is still UGA. The Buffalo Bills of College Football. Richt and Kirby aren’t leagues apart like UGA fans try to say.

Yep, I went back and watched that point of the game and looked for the "right look" stuff he was trying to sell in the post game presser. If the "right look" was there, it wasn't there long enough to run the play. But he's bound and determine to die on the hill of defending that call. Bless his heart.

That play had zero chance of getting 11 yards. They could have snapped it before the ref made the ball ready to play and Bama would have stopped it.

Also playing the QB hokey pokey is just plain stupid. I think Marcus and Chizik said it best , “ If Kirby is worried about losing top ranked talent then he is already losing. You lose talent and recruit more talent. Putting Fields out there was just wasting a down”

We’ve proven we’re the better team twice in a calendar year one hour from their campus. So yeah, Saban doesn’t want to play them again regardless of his coach speak after the game [emoji849]. I hope Kirby is delusional enough to believe that.

i was amazed at how palpable the shift in momentum was after jalen made that first pass to irv to convert 3 and 12. gary and brad were salivating, the crowd was completely electric, even the mdb was getting in on the action. it seemed like they were flat playing their butts off from that period onward.

I thought Kirby was flat out disrespectful referring to CNS as 'that coach' and then to pretty much insinuate that we would be afraid to play them again because they were the better team and would win the next time.

We took their A++ shot for the better part of 3 quarters and gave them about a C- effort back until the 4th qtr.... AND WE STILL BEAT THEM BY 7 Points.

Not just that..... we outscored them 21-0 to close the game out starting with Waddle screaming down the sideline followed by the Jalen Hurts Show.

If wasn't a fluke. We composed ourselves and stepped up after causing self inflicted damage for much of the game. They postured and pea-cocked around with the lead and then shriveled up and withered away when we put the heat/pressure on them.

They don't want our A+ game for sixty minutes. We would BREAK them.....if we haven't already.

CNS was being complimentary towards them and being humble in victory.

Kirby is just a plain petulant horse's rear end.

Yes, maybe now is the time for UGa to be "Re-broken by 'Bama" at a regular interval - 10 years on from the last time their color scheme indicated they were in the mood for a good funeral...

Kirby is an outright donkey. I’ve been hearing things since 2013 about him, and stuff has just gotten worse. Like I said, Jeremy Pruitt looks like the unstable hothead on TV, but he is the real adult of the two behind the microphone and off the field. Kirby is a whiny baby that believes is a great coach and is on equal standing with CNS.

I was originally on the Kirby should be the heir apparent train, but when I started meeting some former players and people who knew him I was on the “ Stay the Hell away from Alabama you arrogant phoney ” fan club.

It is so fitting that Harbaugh and Kirby have tasted so much karma these past 3 years.
I am beginning to feel the same way about Kirby. I used to like him but since he left, I am beginning to see his true colors. I wonder if Ms Terry and Kirby's wife keep in touch at all now. I think they used to be good friends. I liked Jeremy Pruitt better as the DC.. would not mind if he is the one who eventually takes over at BAMA if he does well as a head coach at Tennessee.

I'll give Georgia credit cause they gave us all we could handle, but, the better team won as we made the necessary adjustments as the game played out & we made a great comeback win like Champions should..And we would win again should we have played them again..

This was honestly the only reason why I wanted them in just for us to get another crack at them. I said in another post that if we both played our A games we would beat them by two touchdowns and I truly believe that.

UGA's best chance at a championship was last year. Not saying they won't ever have the chance again ... but it wasn't this year and not thinking it will be the case next year either (thinking maybe year 5 or 6 of his tenure). The question is how long will UGA fans be with Kirby for him to get it done?

The fact that we dominated them down the stretch is seemingly being glossed over by a lot of the media, especially those that were screaming for them to be included in the playoff.
