Coach Saban’s ability to evolve never ceases to amaze me.

Along with his willingness to adapt to the changing game, he also seems to me to be getting better and better at making halftime adjustments.

And the “softer” he becomes as a man the better coach he becomes.

He’s just incredible.

The fact that we dominated them down the stretch is seemingly being glossed over by a lot of the media, especially those that were screaming for them to be included in the playoff.
From the missed FG on - total domination

And also the crucible for the Dawgs' demise - it was when Señor Surefoot lined up a chip shot and UGa seemed certain to go up by three scores that Danielson pointed out (and I paraphrase): "It now becomes a possibility that Georgia wins this game by a large enough margin to keep Alabama out of the playoff"...

I think some of y'all while well-intentioned find things that aren't there.

Kirby was doing what a coach loyal to his players does - making the only case he possibly could for inclusion in the playoffs.
There was nothing more to it than that.
Maybe so, but did you hear him say they lost to "one of the best teams in the country"? Now, we have been Number One IN THE COUNTRY all year, why didn't he say "We lost to the best team in the country"?

What's not getting quite enough coverage about this game is that Georgia and Kirby sold out for this game. They didn't have 10000 trick plays like auburn but they used completely different formations on offense. It kinda feels/sounds like they have been prepping for this game all year. More power to them for coming up with the perfect game plan but in all likelihood they wouldn't be able to do that with the same amount of success in a rematch.

i fully expected him to make a case for their inclusion, hell saban and our players were making that case. i think it was his whiny use of "go ask that coach" that was over the top.

personally, i think he made an ass out of himself. but i am a little bit biased.
I agree with you concerning the guy "on the other sideline" statement. The guy "on the other sideline" helped make smart a multi millionaire and he needs to remember that every day.

KS was over the top emotional for he knew that he had lost not only the SECCG but any chance at the National Championship with one pretty reckless call. When he saw that we had it covered, he should have called time out and punted...
Instead of doing that he laid it on his players for not getting it snapped quickly enough. I have watched that again and we lined up in punt safe and had it covered early. He just choked his guts out and knows he did. RTR

To be fair, he said we, so he was not throwing anyone in particular under the bus. If this had been Kelly, he would have named players who failed there.

Seriously, how many times has a coached blamed a trick play failing on execution? My bet is almost every time. There is a reason why trick plays often fail because of execution...

CNS has just always said positive things about Kirby and UGA and all of his former assistants for the most part. Most have always reciprocated the praise and thanks back. I just don’t hear it that much from Kirby. Maybe I’m not listening well enough but there’s this little thing called “class” and it seems wholly absent when I hear the man.

Kirby is an outright donkey. I’ve been hearing things since 2013 about him, and stuff has just gotten worse. Like I said, Jeremy Pruitt looks like the unstable hothead on TV, but he is the real adult of the two behind the microphone and off the field. Kirby is a whiny baby that believes is a great coach and is on equal standing with CNS.
Then it’s no wonder he’s the perfect UGA man then. That’s UGA encapsulated “we’re equals to Bama without anything to back up that claim but treat us like equals anyway”.

Too perfect [emoji1533] 81!!!

Very true, but what rubbed me the wrong way was in his press conference after the game he was complaining that we didn't have to play in the SECCG last year and got in. Why bring up what happened last year when it's irrelevant to this year under a completely different set of circumstances.

Because we took his championship from him last year. And he is a whiny little brat whose daddy wouldn't let him have another cheeseburger. And he hasn't gotten over it.

I'm guessing you've not heard of all the crap that kirby has done since he left - he wouldn't know class if it punched him in the face (I know this because it has - at least twice now)...

and he is (or at least was) still trying to defend that moronic call. i re-watched the 4th quarter yesterday (i would recommend this to all, it is salve for the soul) and couldn't believe he did it. i didn't really watch what was happening in real time as i was so psyched that we were getting the ball back. by the time i realized what had happened, we had already tackled fields.

i paid more attention on the re-watch and his whole "we had the right look, we just didn't snap it in time" was a bunch of bs.
I felt like he tried to bully his way through the post game PC so as to avoid taking responsibility for a completely moronic fake punt call. He wanted to show up Saban in a game like Saban did to Dabo so so bad that he forced a call that simply wasn't there. Kirby will have to answer for that call for the rest of his career.

The overriding problem with Kirby is he apparently has mistaken Saban's success as his success - if not for him Saban would not have accomplished what he did. And in a likelihood Kirby is probably spouting this garbage on the recruiting trail.

Out of all the coaches who have coached with Saban and left virtually all of them speak highly of coach and what they learned while on the staff even Kiffin Interestingly the 2 least respectful former assistants now HCs have one common denominator, being from and playing at Georgia, Kirby and Muschamp.

Kirby is basically Pat Dye without wins over the boss and the full power from the Cult. I would almost be more for Kiffin coming back than Kirby... almost but I wish they would both stay away.

I’ve talked to several defensive players from a recent team of Alabama’s, and have asked what they thought of Kirby and Jeremy, and I was surprised of the overwhelming response.

They said Kirby was the biggest arrogant butt they have ever been around, and Jeremy was probably the best coach they ever played for not named CNS. Their public personalities would make you think the opposite of both, but Kirby’s real self is starting to seep out.
Well he DID play at Georgia

And if the barn had been in the east it would have been they (UGA) who wouldn't gave gotten into the SECCG.
