Overall, pretty far review of Kwon. I do believe that he tackling style is weak atm b/c HS level isn't at his level and he can get away shoulder and arm tackles. No matter where he goes, he'll grasp that proper tackling style quickly. I agree if he ends up going to UA then he'll be a special teams star first year but I think he could have a chance to play early too

Re: Kwon Alexander ?

I still think he would be an "Head Hunter" if he played a DB spot in Coach Saban's D..He's got the speed & football smarts to do so..He's a beast as LB'er as well..A tad small..But makes up for it with his speed..

Re: Kwon Alexander ?

There are some rumors on some boards that Kwon and his father want him to play safety in college b/c they believe that's the best way to get him to the NFL. I've got to believe that if that's true then our chances are even better with CNS's experience with DBs. He could end up being a Roy Williams type of hard hitting safety and then we could pair HaHa or Eddie Williams to just make an insane safety combo of a head hunter and a INT machine

I hope that's not the biggest concern b/c I think the kids that focus on one position can really hurt themselves in the long run. It's great if the position is where they are best suited; but if they get moved to another position in college it's learning new technique/terminology, possible attitude problems if kid is still focused on old position, and (with our recruiting) competing as a newcomer against younger guys with more eligibility (more time to invest in newer players). Kwon is a great player; but just if it's me or my kid, I'd listen more to what the college coaches (especially a coach like CNS/ Bob Stoops) think than get my heart set on one position.
