And just when I was starting to like you FG.
Dont get me wrong about Fulmer. Weve all seen Deliverance and I wont go into smoky mountain inbreeding as that would be smack. As a CBS analyst he seems like a nice guy. But Iam not a gonna say Ive ever liked the Vols. I respect their program, but they are so cocky and have the bad boy rep they love to push. Anyhow. Iam no Fulmer fanboy trust me.

HERE's a post that talks about the quote.
This may be a subject for a different thread but I can't believe nobody has noticed or mentioned these few paragraphs near the end of that link.

Admitting The Problem: Charlie Weis has now joined Bob Davie and Tyrone Willingham as failed Notre Dame coaches. The line will continue to grow unless the school relaxes its admissions standards for student-athletes.

Notre Dame has been able to recruit outstanding players like Jimmy Clausen and Golden Tate, but it is no longer able to recruit the depth of talent that enables you to contend for a national title.

If it wants to win another championship, it should offer Nick Saban $6 million a year and the dual title of head football coach and university director of admissions.

Spurrier could walk the talk. Kiffin is an embarassment to CF. Sorry for the smack but he really is not that bright when it comes to his lack of self control over his tongue. He will eventually attract the bad boys of the sport with chips on shoulders and create a negative reputation for the program. If I were a mature Vol fan I would be disgusted. Winning is good but only in true sportsmanship and class. Fulmer had issues but he was a good coach and is a good man. Both of our programs have excellent coaches and players. To say Meyer and Strong to name just a few are inferior to other coaches in NCAA CF is quite laughable.
You mean like signing rapists and throwbacks from other schools? Oh, wait, he is already doing that. Shame on you. As a Florida fan, you should have known as there are at least 2 such players he "stole" from you guys: Nu'Kese (What's in your wallet) Richardson and the defensive lineman transfer. Not surprising in that he "stole" CLT from us.;)

Hopefully Elam will stick with his verbal to UF. Anyhow we will get the class acts. Hard to say that after Dunlap's idiotic stain on our program.

It has a lot more about the way he handled the whole Albert Means fiasco. The way he was a secret witness, and tattled on Alabama in exchange for UT getting off scott free (in both the Means case and tutorgate). Which they weren't innocent at all. He might seem like nice guy as an analyst, but he is a backstabber when he needs to be. Just ask Johnny Majors.

Phillip Fullmer is that sludge you find under the scum of the earth. If there was ever a person deserving a prison term for lying it would be Fullmer.

Well, he's young, hope he has learned from his lesson. Everyone's allowed a mistake. Now if he keeps making them it might be a character issue on his part.

Lame Kitten just made those statements so his name would get mentioned and people would talk about him during the SEC Championship week. I wish people would quit commenting on everything that idiot Kiffin says, since we all know he is just seeking attention.

Uhhhh...exactly how many lizards have been arrested in Meyer's tenure? And how many of those were his recruits? I think 25 is the answer to the 1st...don't know the answer to the 2nd, but I think UM will have to recruit a lot differently than he has to "get the class acts."

Phillip Fulmer stabbed one of the greatest players in Tennessee history and a pretty solid head coach in the back. He with the help of Roy "I couldn't get him because Bama outbid me" Adams allowed his program to skate from NCAA punishment so they could bust up Alabama. I'm not going to be an apologist for the wrongs people around our program have done, but Fulmer is a slime. Kiffin just has a "diarrhea of the mouth" problem not a human character problem. People make too much of appearances. Kiffin is probably an honestly good guy who just lets what he thinks - which probably should stay that way (a thought) - turn into a comment. Fulmer is a scum.

LOL! The guy just doesn't grasp the concept of being diplomatic when speaking.

:biggrin2:
I think he knows exactly what he's doing. So long as he can zing FL & Meyer, the UT faithful will forgive his coaching and maturity deficiencies. Kinda like the AU faithful gloating over moral victories. They're hollow, but they make the unintelligent feel better.
