BIRMINGHAM, AL –

The win improves the Crimson Tide to 17-1 in 2025.

Snell and Torres both finished 2-for-5 on the evening, closing as two of the four men in the Tide lineup to manage multiple hits. Bryce Fowler contributed a 3-for-5 line, slugging a solo home run to go with an RBI base-hit. Will Plattner was 3-for-5 as well with a run scored, while Coleman Mizell's lone hit resulted in an RBI single.

The junior allowed just one hit and one walk over his 3.2 innings, picking up three strikeouts. After UAB leveled the score in the sixth, Aeden Finateri entered the game and did well to keep the Blazers at bay. Finateri pitched 2.0 scoreless frames, scattering two hits to go with two strikeouts. Beau Bryans (1-0) recorded the final out of the eighth and picked up the win after the Tide scored three runs in the next half inning. Carson Ozmer secured his fifth save of the spring in a scoreless ninth, adding a strikeout.

From Head Coach Rob Vaughn

"What a great game for the state of Alabama. Two really good teams competing on a great night in Birmingham. I was really proud of the grit and toughness we showed tonight. We were great offensively and just couldn't cash in with guys in scoring position, but we got it done late. JT Blackwood gave us a great start and the 'pen did an outstanding job. I'm proud of our guys and the toughness they showed tonight. I'm excited to head to Aggieland to start SEC play."
