Still wouldn't bet on this one happening, but I think it's fair to say that we have legitimately put Juarez in play at this point. He brought his parents to Tuscaloosa, the official visit went really well, and then we follow it up immediately with an in-home visit from Saban out on the West Coast, which is a very strong indication that the staff believes they have a real shot here.

Again, I'm not betting on it, but I think we've at least done enough here to move this from longshot to real possibility.

Who are the major contenders? Still UCLA, Ole Miss and Alabama?

I thought I was understanding the tweets correctly about him just being in Tuscaloosa this past weekend. He must be very good to Coach Saban to spend this much time trying to get him.

He is very good. A physical 5* LB who can run. Mique said Saban told him he reminded him of Reggie Ragland. We have had pretty good luck in getting some Cali kids to come to Bama recently so hopefully Coach Saban and Tosh can get it done.

BOL reported Bama is right in the middle of things with Juarez. Even said Alabama would be a "slam dunk" if it started recruiting him sooner.

I get the sense this kid really wants to be at Bama. I still think it's going to be a difficult pull to get him off the west coast and away from UCLA.

Rumor is circulating that Mique's father passed away yesterday. I certainly hope it isn't true, but if it is, my heart and prayers go out to the young man.
