Stage 3 has already finished this morning. No change in the GC. I read the France has 12 time zones. Is that the reason for the early day today?

those guys were traveling about 42 mph or so on the finishing sprint.

Fantastic Individual Time Trial today!

That kit and helmet worn by EV was unreal!

In his second Tour de France, Remco Evenepoel won his first career stage, taking Wednesday’s longer of the two 2025 Tour de France time trials in brilliant form and bouncing up to second in the GC. Tadej Pogačar, wearing the polka dots, took the yellow jersey from Mathieu van der Poel and leads Evenepoel by 42 seconds. Jonas Vingegaard lost 1:21 to Evenepoel and 1:06 to Pogačar–he is fourth, +1:13 of the Slovenian.

2025 Tour de France Stage 5
1) Remco Evenepoel (Belgium/Soudal-QuickStep) 36:42
2) Tadej Pogačar (Slovenia/UAE-Emirates) +0:16
3) Edoardo Affini (Italy/Visma-Lease a Bike) +0:32

2025 Tour de France GC
1) Tadej Pogačar (Slovenia/UAE-Emirates) 17:22:58
2) Remco Evenepoel (Belgium/Soudal-QuickStep) +0:42
3) Kévin Vauquelin (France/Arkea-B&B Hotels) +0:59
4) Jonas Vingegaard (Denmark/Visma-Lease a Bike) +1:13

I just watched the time trial. It was a great race. Now I wonder if Vingegaard will attack more to try to catch Pogacar off guard. Evenepoel looked strong today.

Lots of racing left......lots......anything can happen!

Right now MVDP has a 1 second lead over TP in the GC....wow - that's INSANE!!!

Really enjoyed today's Stage win by the Irishman....attacked with 42 KM to go!!!

@Bazza, Ben Healy was a monster today. He kept putting time in the chase groups behind him. I am surprised the big guns didn’t feel him back in but he just felt good today. I was glad for him.

Pogacar just looks so strong. Hard for me to pick anyone other than him.
I know. These short attacks at the end of the stages are just picking up seconds here and there. We will see how much the competition has in the mountains coming up. Vingegaard hasn’t really attacked yet.

Check out the individual time trial for stage 13. This is going to be tough. It isn’t very long, but it looks hard and it is the day after some other tough mountains. IMG_4872.png
