I am watching the last game in Cowboys stadium, Ravens vs. Cowboys. McClain just ripped off the longest run by a visiting back in the history of the stadium. 82 yard TD to finish off the Cowboys!! RTR!!!
That's what i'm thinking, I wonder why? It's becoming more and more evident that we never used McClain to his full potential while he was here.
Lets quit with the Shula bashing. He has done more as a player and coach for the university than any of us on here.I said it in another thread, it's a crime, and absolute crime how little McClain was utilized during his time at Alabama. Saban would slap Shula.
My comment was on how under utilized McClain was at Bama. Don't hi-jack the thread. It seemed like every time McClain had the ball in his hands he was barreling over 2-3 guys and even juked once in a while. He was a real talent. Wasn't Bama high on him as a RB out of high school?Lets quit with the Shula bashing. He has done more as a player and coach for the university than any of us on here.
And that was the longest run given up by the Cowboys in the stadium. Leron will always be remembered for scoring the last TD in Cowboys stadium.I am watching the last game in Cowboys stadium, Ravens vs. Cowboys. I do as well. We had such talent and could have been so good.every time I see LeRon run, I curse Mike Shula
I also remember Leron's main play: I-Formation, Play Action, FB slips out into the flat. The funny thing was that in his senior season, he averaged 5.8 yards a carry, but only got 11 carries. The thing I remember is well he ran he always ran when given the chance. He had a 169 yards on only 36 carries in his career here at Alabama, and the majority of the carries was 1 and 2 yard 3rd down conversion runs that he turned into more. Grossly under-utilized, especially when during his career Ray Hudson, Kenneth Darby, and Tim Castille were all
injured at various points.
