It was the right move to pull Jalen in the 2017 NC. Tua should have been pulled in the 2018 NC for Jalen. They were onto Tua tendencies and bum ankles. Jalen would have carved them up with his running. We should never have allowed that game to ge to 48-14 without making a change much earlier.
Yeah I’ll agree with that. The 2018 title game was probably the most disappointing game and loss I ever saw in the Saban era. I watched the team actually give up in real time in the 3rd quarter. I did wonder why we didn’t at least try to change it up, especially since Jalen had been so good in the SEC title game.

IMO Locksley was the big anchor for us though.

I think so too.

They heavily prepared to run disguised coverages to Bait Tua into bad decisions.

Jalen would have caught them off guard and given us a better chance.
