Again, you just have to get used to it and tune it out. It's all garbage, and nothing will come of it. And when the whole "Gadsden" bit never materializes, it will be something else. I don't know what and I don't know who it will supposedly involve, but rest assured it will be something else. And rest assured they will be on top of the situation and have it all figured out from day one. It always is that way with that bunch...

And I'll add this... if Freud had gotten a couple of those rubes as his first patients, he would have switched professions by the end of the week. There is just no explaining that much delusion, obsession, and paranoia.

Yep . Just as Gadsden followed Mobile , fill in the blank will follow Gadsden . Most of those clowns have gone so far off the deep end that the few , very few , rational barners out there are even embarrassed . It's truely pitiful ..... and I like it

You're late. I've already seen it in some of their posts. Let me take this opportunity to congratulate the AU Rivals admins. They've recognized that the Gadsden stuff is garbage and they won't allow it on their open forum...

It's good to hear that at least some of their administrators do have some common sense...

Wow, I'm loving this. I've never heard of a more mentally challenged program and fanbase.

So,they make false allegations against us...which in-turn causes them to get hammered. I absolutely love this. I can't wait until this comes out...

Like I said in the Julio / Ingram fishing trip thread a couple of weeks back, eventually you just have to get used to the Barn rumors and tune them out. It is always something with those guys... some big scandal always about to break that will bring down this little evil empire we have running. Hell, I went through ten years of rumors in that thread just off the top of my head, none of them which ever had the least bit of credibility. This one will go the same way.

I haven't heard the first thing about "Gadsden" scandal but in following Alabama and by unfortunate extension, Auburn football for 40 years it is always something with those clowns and when nothing comes of it, they roll out the same explanation: a pro Bama conspiracy exists in the heart of the NCAA. It is so damn predictable.

They may well have vehicle problems also. However, what I know about involved open offers by barn boosters for cash subsidies to a couple of prospects. These offers were taped and are in the hands of the NCAA presently. I, and others, have know of this for a long time. I've not posted it, but, after seeing the garbage on some of their sites, it's time for it to see the light of day...

Same here . And as Earle mentioned , much was known of these attempts as far back as prior to NSD in 2008 .

When you think of it like this, it can be explained. Think of how much pride the University of Alabama's football team has provided the majority of this state (read: Alabama fans). The prestige of this University is unmatched in the SEC.

Well, it is the complete reversal for them. Auburn has never been able to, and will never be able to match up to Alabama. It is a dynamic that cannot be found in any other rivalry. It is so important to us here... it is quite like religion.

You can tell Auburn fans, why don't you just compete, don't try to beat Alabama's past. But that is impossible for them. Alabama's past, present and future is their source of subjection, or inferiority. Their goal is quite simply the destruction of our program. Why, after 6 straight wins were there such weeping and gnashing of teeth after a lone loss to Alabama last year?

Sure, there are the calmer Auburn fans, the more rational Auburn fans. But I'm afraid they are the ones on the fringe, and the typical Auburn fan is the one with delusional behavior.

Here's what makes me wonder about the overall state of mental health on the plains.

About a month after April 15 (Tax Day), agents with the Alabama Department of Revenue served search warrants on Crown Motors dealerships in the Gadsden area. It was NOT the FBI serving the warrant. However, both federal officials and local authorities assisted ADoR officials in securing the sites and collecting the evidence sought by the warrants.

Since simple minds seek simple answers, here's what the barners came up with:

Anytime federal agents assist state revenue departments in serving warrants on a car dealership (and its accounting firm too, by the way), it must mean that the FBI is gathering evidence to prove that Bammer players are getting free cars.

"Quick! Call the NCAA and turn them Bammers in!"

I saw a post under AU85Grad that basically stated that that him and "IronTiger" had cooked up the whole Gadsen scheme to get Bama in trouble. It all turned bad when investigations turned up major violations by the Barn, including the parent of a major prospect (shouldn't take much thinking to figure out who this is) taping an "offer" from the Barn. They also came up with a scheme to concoct internet rumors on just about anything (see JJ/Ingram fishing trip). Anyway, things started spinning wildy out of control. The PTB finally communicated that things needed to stop. A lot of this will almost certainly end up in court.

If you remember correctly from December of 2007 after Rich Rodriguez left West Virginia for Michigan, there was a big Internet rumor that Saban was leaving to take the WVU job. Of course the Auburn boards went crazy with it. Anyway, if you remember, a few days later ol' auditorAU admitted that he was the one who started the whole Saban-to-WVU rumor in the first place.

Again, I wouldn't doubt it in the least if that were the case here. Those goobers you are talking about are just a couple of the other eggheads on ITAT...

And in the latest episode of "As The Barners Turn," apparently the nutjobs over at ITAT are starting to get a bit skeptical over the whole "Gadsden" bit after the generally positive tone yesterday taken by the COI, specifically with them stating that nothing else was going on with UA.

In fact, ol' "IronTiger" himself is already skeptical...

The overall tone and lack of concern by all threw cold water on some of my hopes.

The difficult part for me it that being on probation didn't mean anything in this case. So I won't be getting excited about anything until more rock solid evidence comes out.

I don't agree. It definately does matter. B'ham is too much of a Bammer town. There is too much Bammer influence throughout the SEC office....the commissioner is not the only thing that matters.

I want to believe the IT and others on this board who say they will get the hammered by the end of they year and know they have been cheating... but it does make you ask why was the NCAA so light on the texbook punishment knowing they still are cheating?

Sounds to me like the Barners are about to start getting antsy to move onto another rumor. Ol' IronTiger is still thinking the PLOI will be coming around August, and perhaps even as late as December. In real terms for 'Bama fans, that means the next big rumor will be coming by early next January...

from what I can tell they just changed their tone from "The NCAA is about to smash Alabama" to "Alabama is going to cheat, has always cheated, and will never be caught, mostly because they pay the right people"

I guess they've finally grown to realize how we became the top team in the state
