Let’s Pause Reflect on Our Fallen Foe

I said all week I thought the barn was eating the rat poison of "Bama can't win in JHS" (which is objectively untrue).

You can't just show up and win a game because of your stadium. I've noticed Auburn actually performs best against Alabama when nobody gives them a shot. That was not the case this week.

All I know is, having worked for and with a Barn'r who still brings up the stupid 0:01 Kick6 play when he gets the chance, I was VERY relieved not to witness a BARN Miracle '25 at the very end of the ballgame.

RTR!

Do you remind him that they have done nothing of note since that kick 6?

Not bad unless you consider that we should be 9-0 over the same period.
Exactly! Two of the last three games we had to have multiple miracles to win against far inferior teams, and an AU team with one conference win had us tied with four minutes remaining on Saturday. Playing there against us still spots them at least 10 points. I feel that is being generous. It is still more about surviving down there instead of thriving. I'll just take the win and move on down the road. Roll Tide!

I’m convinced they used up the last of their real magic in 2013.

I mean seriously they won 2 games in a row vs UGA and us off a deflected 70+ yard TD reception in the final 30 secs followed by the play I will not describe vs us.

Then they start farming negative karma with coaching hires and fires with the Cherry on top being a guy who bought escorts for his players.

Now 5 straight losing seasons!

Shame that.

Auburn's quick firing and sad funneling of resources into buyout funds instead of their students and athletic department/athletes has created the mediocrity I expect from the turnover and tumult. AU will never be an every year national championship potential team. If they were smart, they would study the Frank Beamer days where he slowly built a program from nothing at VA Tech piece by piece by creating a team that capitalized on other teams weaknesses. You can't do that by hiring and firing on a 3-4 year cycle and wasting money on buyouts. This is also great example for Alabama, where we will find ourselves if we turn on our coaches after 1-4 years. Give the coach the resources he needs and demand a real building plan for the program. Only push out the coach for abysmal results with a solid plan of who you are going to replace the coach with, or we will find ourselves in the Auburn cycle.
