I think that we will destroy them and their QB might not finish the game. As for our running game, Vandy is not Georgia. I'm looking at more than 150 yards on the ground.

I hope you are correct. But I can promise you it ain't the same Ole Vandy.
That is obvious. But it was their big win against us that put them on the map last year and we were the joke of college football. That is certainly not lost on the players and coaches. Yea, vandy is a good team but we are better, way better. Just think we are dialed in for this one with a point to make.

Looking at Vanderbilt's offensive line average weight, we are actually lighter on average than their front 5. They stack up well against us, and really any college team in the US. We simply aren't going to push them around, unless we really can find some good matchups or scheme some really good blitzes. This alone probably explains why they have rushed well against most teams. They are simply not the Vanderbilt of old. We really have to throw out our assumptions and biases based upon who they have been the last 40 years.

  • Florida: 6’5.6″, 331.2 lbs. per starter
  • Texas: 6’4″, 331.2 lbs.
  • Iowa State: 6’6.4″, 329 lbs.
  • Rice: 6’5.8″, 327 lbs.
  • Ole Miss: 6’5.4″, 325 lbs.
  • Vanderbilt: 6’4.6″, 325 lbs.
  • Arizona: 6’4.2″, 325 lbs.
  • LSU: 6’5.8″, 324.6 lbs.
  • Alabama: 6’5.2″, 323.4 lbs.
  • Arkansas: 6’5.2″, 323.2 lbs.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
I went and pulled the stats from the South Carolina / Vandy game, because someone had said the game was close until Sellers got put out of the game. The total yards between the two teams was close and Vandy had only 146 yards rushing against Carolina. Perhaps our defense can limit the yardage of the Vandy offense. But here are the stats. https://www.google.com/search?q=box...#sie=m;/g/11x3bnkd1q;6;/m/012hfxch;ms;fp;1;;;
The four turnovers for USCe didn't help either. If we don't turn the ball over I think we score 35+ possibly 45+.

Yeesh... 4 turnovers is a ton. You probably have 12ish real drives in an average game and that means you can't score on a third of them. Rapidly drops the points you can make.

I kind of wonder if we play Dijon Lee more this game. Domani really struggled in the run game vs UGA and Lee being massive would probably help with that. I also wouldn't mind seeing more Dre Kirkpatrick Jr.

There's no question at all that this team should be more focused. That's one reason why it will be a good litmus test.

Alabama knows what to expect, it just happens to be a weakness. The only way I see Alabama losing this game is if the defense comes up short. I expect the players to be motivated, I think the offense will get things done, it reminds me a bit of the old Ole Miss or Texas A&M matchups. We know what they'll try to do, just a matter of if Alabama can stop them.
I would be more than happy with a 45-42 win. With A&M in 2013, we pretended to play a baseball game at Coors Field in Denver. In that environment, you let your stud pitcher give up 5-6 runs, we just gotta 1 or 2 more than they do. With Ty, we are more than capable to get that.
