Not sure what has happened, but all I see is that it is 5-5.
As far as your 3rd paragraph, while it has been negative around here since SEC play started, that is what you are gonna get often times with you go from 16-1 to 22-15 and 5-10 in the SEC (LSU just homered to win it 6-5). While it does hinge a lot on the players, there have been several questionable coaching moves to say the least.
I have been saying for awhile now (and I have seldom been negative until this year even in the lean years) that overall talent is down but, Gaspard and Norris have been here for a few years now and have had a hand in recruiting, so they didn't inherit a team of unknowns. The pitching needs help and will be fixed by Bunn it will take more than this year alone though through recruiting.
As far as Smith and Wilson go, it is fairly obvious that Matthes and Mays did the heavy lifting last year and they were helped out by teams pitching around them them giving them more opportunities to capitalize. This all the more makes you look at Matthes' year last year and say WOW. Now, why are they struggling? Who knows Gaspard is supposed to be a hitting guru from what I understand, so it begs me to ask the question why. In so doing it usually comes across as negative, but not intended that way.
Post more for us, I welcome the debate of my opinion and everyone else's, not sure where the other guys such as RTG and BET (I know where he is) are but it has been slack here this year.
I think Gaspard and company will get it done. First year head coach with inherited talent even though they helped recruit them. Its still different. The next few years will tell the tale. When they recruit their own brand of players. This staff likes really gritty get dirty type players and SOME of the players there now are of the pretty boy stylistic variety. Just give these guys some time and I think they will right the ship. Andrew Miller is their type of player and if you watch that cat you will see a WINNER !!!! I love this staff....my son has been to a ton of their camps and has been to a bunch of other camps all around and this staff is TOP NOTCH in our opinion. Hard nosed, gritty, die hard baseball guys. I have complete faith in the staff to get this thing on track. Just be supportive and see what happens.

seriously I agree with most of what you said. Problem is getting those guys like Miller to campus. Many of them pass us up to go elsewhere or the MLB draft.
