I've read a lot of critical analysis about LSU and their play these first three weeks. I've also heard how much better Bama is than LSU in all aspects.

I will reserve judgement until Bama plays someone other than:

Kent State
A much overrated #23 Penn State with a very poor QB
North Texas (this weekend)

I will also reserve my critique of your QB's. All I have seen so far is 2 INT's from both against the schedule I mentioned above.

As is your right...but PSU has a better defense than MSU, IMO. Your whos haven't played anyone with a defense yet, so I'll reserve judgment on your offense as well. And, FTR, these were the first two starts of AJ's career, but I think Lee has started a few before and had much more playing time.
Apples to apples, no?

That's beside the point. We're talking about team comparison...not QB. And the fact that AJ is a first year starter is very much relevant. Lee is a 5th year senior with several starts, and plenty of game action in huge games. Thanks for making this case stronger.

Not saying LSU>Bama this season...who knows yet? Point is, the arguments for LSU are valid and more proven...as we speak, Temple leads PSU. LSU is clearly the more proven team at this point of the season. Next week, we'll play our third road game against a ranked opponent. Next week, Bama hosts their first ranked opponent. Most likely, we won't know which is the better team until Nov 5th...but LSU certainly has the better resume at this point.

Um, Penn State was ranked when Bama played them...20th in one, 23rd in the other I believe...

Not sure why LSU fans are so touchy? on the subject, most opinions/assessments on this board of LSU have been & were pretty fair...Neither team has played anyone to brag about yet, that includes the Oregon game who also were way over-ranked though they might be a Top 20 team. PSU being over-ranked goes without being said.

Its all an opinion and you don't have to agree with it, nor I yours.
On a rival board, thats about as good as you're going to get.
Agreed. But it IS hilarious to read how LSU is overrated, untested, etc...when many of the same posters saying this picked UO to beat LSU on this very board, and thought the same about MSU. Now that LSU has one both of those games convincingly, THOSE teams are overrated.

Like I said...hilarious.

To be fair, Oregon was a better team last year, and AU's defense looked better against them in the NCG than you guys did in week 1 and AU's D was in the bottom half of the league last year.

It's hard to provide a solid argument for either side right now, we're only 3 games in (and some of us aren't even that far.) But no one can convince me that this years LSU D is better than last years after only 2 games, just like no Bama fan is going to pull the wool over my eyes and tell me our offense is better than last years.

Yes the potential is there for both, but it hasn't happened yet.
