Imitation is the best form of flattery.

They "purple and gold" everything else... I'm not sure why we'd be shocked at this.
Exactly right, and I see no problem with it. In fact I see it as compliment to greatest coach who ever lived. And, I'm sure Coach Bryant would have laughed at seeing them. So, if LSU fans are thinking they're are going to get someones goat with this, it won't be mine.

And as someone who posted on their site said -- Coach Bryant owned LSU, so it's appropriate for them to be decked out in purple and gold.
I don't know, for some reason, this doesn't really get me ticked off. I know that's what the corndogs' intentions are, but it's not working. Personally, I think it's kind of funny....

While at Bama, Coach Bryant had a 21-4-0 record against the drunk cajuns. Heck, even at Kentucky Coach was 2-1-1 against them. And at aTm, you guessed it, 2-0-0.

It seems like a classic case of them fearing what they don't understand.

Well... I've decided to take it as a compliment that they want to honor one of the greatest coach that stood on the sideline ...
Lord knows he handed out a few smackdowns to their team for quite a few years.

Bama fans could wear them too, then whole stadium would be ALL houndstooth and crimson...

I find it very funny. Only the corndogs could come up with something like this and it backfires on them. We will all be laughing at them next Saturday. Too funny.

LSU fans are the worst. I made my one and only ever lifetime trip to Baton Rouge in 1996. They are the most arrogant, rude and idiotic fans I have ever encountered. Lucky for us, Shaun Alexander ran all over LSU that night.

I say, make Jerry DeNardo masks and wear them to the game.

They can't be expecting much support from the students at LSU...they only purchased 60 hats!!! Not usre that will get noticed amoung the 93,000 in attendance. LOL

I'm sorry, but Georgia fans are much worse than LSU fans.

Who cares what they wear. They will not be wearing them after Bama beats them, they will be running for the gates during RJ!

I just hope they dress sensibly. Jeans and a sweatshirt should do the trick. Though some might want to bring a light jacket, and the ladies should definitely leave the open toed shoes at home. It's probably going to get a little cool once the sun goes down.

imitation is the best form of flattery. i'm sure glad LSU doesn't have Saban anymore. do you realize what he would have done with the level of talent LSU has over the past 2 years? At least one of the two years would be another NC ring for the ol' hand. IMO, any really good coach (Tressle, Carrol, Brown, Butch Davis, Tubberville (yes he is a really good coach), Meyer, Richt, etc.) would have won a NC with those players. Miles just doesn't have what it takes to bring it to that extra level.
