Better words I have typed before...but I just can't WAIT to see the Florida LSU game!

And I hope LSU gets STOMPED!!!

But then again....for better standings I want Florida to lose.

I just can't bring myself to cheer on LSU no matter what the reason!

Anybody else excited to watch this game?

I have been underwhelmed with LSU's QB play so far, think this may the weak link for UF to exploit. With or without Tebow think UF wins in a very close game.

Two teams that just know how to win. They will both EXPECT to win this game. I will be pulling for LSU, but I really wouldn't mind seeing Florida win.

Guess it just depends on how conservative they are with Tebow. I haven't seen a game from either that just blew me away and said yep that's the number one team right there or the number 4 team.

The only team Florida has played worth a flip is UT and that wasn't exactly a drubbing. Same with LSU Georgia was the toughest opponent they faced and it could have gone either way but it went in LSU's favor. Still LSU has played better opponents overall than Florida.

I think this game is gonna be pretty close. within 10 points and maybe 3 throughout most of the game.

Tebow can always give "We will not lose another game" speech. I vote LSU and I hope if Tebow plays he doesn't get hurt. Too early for him to come back IMO.

I think this game will be razor close, unless Brantley somehow manages to light up the LSU secondary.

I still don't think Tebow plays in this one. I don't think a doctor would clear him to play this quickly after such a bad concussion. If a doctor does clear him I think he needs his own head, and medical license, examined. There's no way Tebow should play in this game. It would be literally risking his career and possibly his life. That's not hyperbole, it's fact. If there are any lingering symptoms, no matter how minor, another hit like that could cause permanent brain damage or even death. I know the chances are relatively slim, but the risk is still there.

I think LSU has a good chance in this one. If LSU wins a close game, I think we jump Texas into first place. I know LSU would get a few first place votes as a result of the win, but I think a majority of Florida's first place votes would fall to us instead of Texas.

If Florida wins a close one, then all stays the same in the top 3, assuming Texas wins. A blowout by either team firmly places them in first place, especially if it's Florida.

As for who wins, I don't know. I'll wait until Friday to cast my vote in that one, to see whether Florida is stupid and/or greedy enough to play Tebow. Even then, I'm not sure how much of aneffect that will have, other than the possible emotional lift the gators would get. Of course, if LSU knocks him out of the game in the second quarter, the emotional advantage backfires.

Basically, I don't have a clue. :)

I heard this on cbs college sports a few weeks ago. Florida has lost to an SEC West team at least once every year since the late 90s in the regular season.

UF camp keeps giving conflicting info as to whether Tebow will play or not, probably to keep LSU guessing. I think he won't play and if they lose, they will cry simultaneous hit of H1N1-Tebowectomy.

This one is a toss-up, imo. If Brantley plays, I'd give LSU the edge. I'm not saying they couldn't beat UF with Tebow, I think LSU could. I look at how UT played against them and feel certainly LSU's defense is better than UTees. And while LSU's offense is less than underwhelming, they are a notch better than Utees as well so I think they could give them a good game.
Close, but right now I'm leaning towards LSU on this one.

I think UF wins. If Tebow plays it will be lopsided. If he doesn't it will be close. But either way I think UF wins.

Maybe the stats are misleading b/c LSU has played a pretty tough schedule, but LSU is very unimpressive statistically on O and D:

Total Offense: UF ranked #3 nationally...UT #56...LSU #99

Total Defense: UF ranked #1...UT #19...LSU #40

LSU has a lot of skill position and DB talent, but LSU's OL and DL seem well under LSU's usual high standards for line play...

UF has a good chance to dominate this game with its running game and OL, and should win by a TD or more barring a lopsided turnover margin in LSU's favor...

Lol, LSU and impressive doesn't go together this year. I'm certainly not impressed with them so far this year. For sure they've been winning ugly. But I will give them this, they find ways to win, lucky or not. Having said that, I'm not completely sold on UF either, certainly not without Tebow. That is partly because I haven't seen Brantley play, and I think thats true of most people. You can't argue that Tebow is pretty much the UF offense when he plays, in fact I believe he's your leading rusher; So its not far-fetched to think a talented albeit underachieving LSU team could pull this one out, especially being in their stadium. But its going to require Jefferson to have an excellent game, as well as getting their running game going. They can't just rely on their defense to win this one, they are going to need some offensive output. If Tebow plays, UF's chances go way up, no doubt and that may sway my opinion. But UF has appeared vulnerable at times this year, and its not just BAMA fans that are saying that.
Like I said in my previous post, I'm not sold either way, but I do think LSU has to kind of prove they belong in the Top 5, and this is a perfect stage to do it on so I look for them to have a good game.
As a BAMA fan, I would love for UF and BAMA to meet undefeated for a rematch in the SECCG. I think we'll know more about both our teams after this weekend, as well as a few others.

Btw, feel free to hang around and post any time. Most of us on here enjoy exchanging viewpoints with our various rivals. We have a few Vol, Sooner, Arky, VaTech, and LSU fans that post here too--all good peeps.
We try not to be too hard on them.;)

My preferred scenario... LSU wins this weekend. UGA wins out, including squeeking out a win against Florida at the cocktail party. UGA represents the east in the SECCG.

I've had enough of Tebow.

I think UF wins this game, mainly due to the fact that I think UM is a better coach than LM. I think they probably have comparable talent (UF's probably a little better, but not glaringly so), so I go with the coaching staff.

I respect that LM has the pluck to roll the dice so often, but I think that he's far too risky, and I think that it will bite him sooner rather than later--maybe a few times to even the odds back out to where they realistically should be.

As long as we don't slip up, this would suit me fine. But if we want to be able to be considered for the MNC game with a loss, we need to beat a highly ranked team in the SECCG. Beating an undefeated FL team in that game would put us in the MNC game, even if we had one loss...
