The question is what systems (other than SF) work best for his game? I don't understand NFL offensive systems well enough to know that.Mac is 2nd in the NFL in Passing YPG
He’s 8th in Comp %
He’s 16th in Passing TDs in 1-2 less games than other Starters.
He’s Solidly a Top 10 QB imo and should be a Starter whether it’s for SF or somebody else.
I’d give anything for him to be my teams QB.

He's playing very well. I don't disagree. Just to call him a solidly top 10 QB seems a bit much for me at this point. Need to see him sustain it over a longer periodHe’s playing like a Top 10 guy.
What’s controversial about that?
That's the problem isn't it? I'm like you I don't follow closely enough to have an answer but I do know that system matters. But a caveat: New England was not simply a mismatch between Mac's skill set and the offensive system. It was coaching malfeasance by Bill Belichick. The question is what systems (other than SF) work best for his game? I don't understand NFL offensive systems well enough to know that.
Yep, they have a new coach and they are finally doing better. That's the problem isn't it? I'm like you I don't follow closely enough to have an answer but I do know that system matters.
