Biggest disservice ever was Mac getting drafted by Coach Hoodie at NE then basically gutting the team of every possible complimentary offense weapon on the team..

Last night showed what Mac can do if you give him a few offensive weapons.
Going to Jacksonville didn’t help either. And, Shanahan’s system is similar to what he did @ Bama. He can thrive there if he can stay healthy

And the scary thing is a lot of the niners WR and TE weapons were out! Pearsall, Kittle and Juan Jennings (all starters) were out last night and Mac still lit it up. If he keeps this up Purdy will become expendible or another team will pick up Mac as their starter.

Mac Jones should have been starting 4 years ago in San Fran. Had they stayed true to what they believed, his career would be seen in a different light. probabaly A perennial pro bowler
Yep, the public pressure to draft the "more athletic" Lance turned out to be a big mistake by the Niners but Purdy turning out how he did saved their butts. They got very lucky Purdy turned out to be what he did.

Purdy started last week and they lost, he was injured again.
I just watched the condensed highlights from last night.

Mac is so good in this offense.

He goes through reads so fast and gets the ball out so quick.

He’s also tougher than a $2 steak and still makes great throws when he knows he’s gonna get hit.

If they keep winning with Mac you would think they’d have to just turn the job over to him for the season.

But it’s the NFL and they usually will let the ship go down with their original starter at QB no matter what.

Mac is a Baller though.

It was great to watch, but during that OT when the Rams got the ball back for their crack at the endzone, even I was saying "COME ON DEFENSE GET THE STOP for the LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY!" and then like an answered prayer, 4th and 1,bad gap choices, and a CAN DO Attitude by the Defense showed up. ;)

No, they just paid Purdy $265mm over 5 years with $100mm in signing bonus. No way Mac gets the starting job, thats a big dead cap hit. I think the thing it shows is some of these QB’s aren’t the busts people think, it comes down to system and fit. Teddy Bridgewater is one example, but the biggest recent example is Sam Darnold. He was terrible on bad teams in NY and Carolina, played great in Minnesota and now Seattle. Remember, Mac was a pro bowler his first year in NE, then Josh McDaniel left and the Hoodie lost his mind.

I understand.

I just think Mac is as good if not better and has the goods to be the starter in SF or for a similar offense with a more positive environment.
