I hate to say this, but Mac is, unfortunately, just another guy in the NFL and he will be a backup going forward, which is not a bad job at all.

The only problem is signing to do it in California, where the additional state/local taxes result in half your paycheck being absorbed by various levels of government (according to the paycheck Arik Armstead published a few years ago).
