Just go with me on this one...

p.s. Unless your coach's name is Saban, Stoops,Brown, Tressel, or Meyer..you're ALWAYS looking for a coach. Maybe not actively, but you keep an eye out.

except WV is not looking for a coach, are they?
I think Coach Stewart is stepping down after the bowl game..I could be mistaken about that..Please correct me if I'm wrong..
WV could be a great place for Gus with the style of offense he runs.

I just saw on College Football live where GM turned down Vandy. WV would be a better fit for him. Anyone and everybody can get in there and he could take TT with him. I don't see where Vandy would want TT anywhere near that program with his rep.

while I would've taken the money and attempted to set the tone at Vandy, build 'em up, get a field named after me, etc....

I can understand why a coach such as he, would want to be at a place that he can win and get to the BCS, without having to play an SEC schedule.

Fair enough I think we're on the same page. Graduated from BAMA last year and have hated Auburn my whole life. Just hate to see some Tide fans get all worked up over what theyre doing over there on the plains. But then again anything that hurts their program Im game for. Also, its helped that I got a job in DC so I dont have to deal with all of those booger eating fans. ROLL TIDE!
It would definitely change things if I didn't live here in the state. Don't get me wrong, I love this state, but having booger eater fans up close and in your business can be taxing. But I'm certainly not worked up out of worry over BAMA, just hoping to see the barn fans squirm.

That's just a rumor at the moment. Actually the origin of that rumor, an internet blog / board (imagine that!) retracted the story and statement. Stewart won't be there much longer, but I don't think he's leaving after this year. Also, I'd look for Doc Holliday to have first right of refusal for the WVU job if Stewart does leave. Holliday is a great recruiter and a WVU guy through and through. If you aren't familiar with him, he's currently the coach at Marshall, a job in which he left a coordinator position at WVU to take.

Speaking locally, I've heard Malzahn's name come up for the first time in reference to the Pitt job this weekend. Apparently Pitt is going after Dana Holgerson (sp?) from Ok. St. pretty heavily and they want an offensive coach. I think Malzahn is really far down the list for them and vice-versa, but I've heard his name come up a few times.

Well, when has Vandy offered a coach "big boy" money?
I don't know the answer to that one as Vandy doesn't publish it's coaches salaries. As far as Indiana they are paying Coach Wilson 1.2 million and that looks like the average for the Big 10. Also Indiana has at least one well known coach that left to got to the NFL as an OC. So maybe it isn't as much of a graveyard as we might think. But I still haven't seen anything from the coaches at Vandy. Either way ole' Gus is still staying in Auburn.

I was surprised when reports surfaced stating GM would take over Vandy. That is a place coaches go to retire, not to start a HC career. Personally, I'd look for a lower level conference in a decent state for recruits (USF, FIU, North Texas, SDSU), places like that.

I do not know what to believe anymore.
Believe that Malzahn is looking for a new job and looking hard. Believe that if nothing better comes up he'll be at Vandy. Believe that he wants to parlay his success while he's hot and you can believe he's not gonna go down with the ship. Other than that, the details are cloudy.

Did ESPN report that he's staying at the barn?
